As I have said before, I don't always agree with articles I post. I do think it's important to know what others around the US and globe are saying. I believe the people who come here are smart enough to use discernment when reading news articles.
I search the news wires from all over, in hopes to find news that gives us a better understanding of the world we live in. Our MSM just spoon feeds us what they want us to know/think.
Thanks so much for taking time out of your day to come here and catch up.
If you find news stories that we have missed, feel free to add them to the current daily thread with links.

HAPPENING TODAY: @housejudiciary Chairman @repjerrynadler Holds Markup on Resolution Recommending the House of Representative Find William P. Barr in Contempt of Congress
Bill Barr published the Mueller report online and followed the law on redactions—even working with the special counsel on the process. And yet Democrats STILL want to hold him in contempt. Folks. This is not serious. It is the height of political desperation on full display. CST
House Judiciary Chairman @repjerrynadler says “we have no choice” but to move forward with a vote today to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress. Pres. Trump “wants to make himself a king, and Congress cannot permit that,” Nadler says.
Supporters of President Donald Trump arrived early on Tuesday for the President’s reelection rally being held in Panama City Beach, Florida, Wednesday evening. The rally is being held at the Aaron Bessant Amphitheater, a beautiful open-air venue with a mix of seating and standing room with a varying reported capacity of 7,500 to 10,000 people. In the parking lot next to the venue, supporters parked early with some displaying their love of President Trump. Early arrivals came from Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Michigan and from all over Florida. As the evening went on dozens of Trump supporters were hanging out with more driving through asking when would be a good time to come on Wednesday for the rally. Answer: EARLY!!! Across from the venue, an RV driven by Women 4 Trump Sarasota-Manatee was draped with a large Trump 2020 banner. Next to it was a truck driven by a man from Alabama who had pro-Trump (and Mark Levin) signs with large lettering on the sides and back of the truck. www.thegatewaypundit.com/2019/05/trump-supporters-arrive-early-for-wednesdays-panama-city-beach-fl-rally/

New DJT’s GREAT NEWS FOR OHIO! Just spoke to Mary Barra, CEO of General Motors, who informed me that, subject to a UAW agreement etc., GM will be selling their beautiful Lordstown Plant to Workhorse, where they plan to build Electric Trucks. GM will also be spending $700,000,000 in Ohio… ….in 3 separate locations, creating another 450 jobs. I have been working nicely with GM to get this done. Thank you to Mary B, your GREAT Governor, and Senator Rob Portman. With all the car companies coming back, and much more, THE USA IS BOOMING! BOOM
GM, union reach deal to rescue part of Ontario plant: source (Reuters) - General Motors and the largest union representing Canada’s auto workers have reached a deal to partly rescue an auto plant in Ontario slated to close this year by converting it to a parts-stamping facility, a source familiar with the matter said on Wednesday. The plan would help save some union jobs at GM’s Oshawa car-making plant, even though the operations would be scaled down and it will no longer produce cars, the source added. “Oshawa stays open,” said the source who spoke on the condition of anonymity. “It’s a small foot in the door, but it stays open.” A spokesman for GM declined to comment before an 11 a.m. EDT (1500 GMT) press conference at which the company and the union are expected to make an announcement about the plant. A Unifor spokeswoman also declined comment before the press conference. GM, which has been increasing its footprint in connected-car development in Canada, will also make an announcement on advanced automotive technologies, the source said. CBC cited a brochure given to members of Unifor that outlined the plans for employees of the GM plant in Oshawa. In November, GM announced plans to close the plant by the end of 2019, affecting almost 2,600 workers. Unifor said the closure was contrary to a contract that stipulates there would be no plant closures prior to Sept. 21, 2020. www.reuters.com/article/us-gm-restructuring-canada-unions/gm-union-reach-deal-to-rescue-part-of-ontario-plant-source-idUSKCN1SE20J

CME IMPACT POSSIBLE THIS WEEKEND: A faint CME that left the sun on May 7th could strike Earth's magnetic field on May 10th or 11th, according to NOAA analysts. The plasma cloud was hurled into space by an explosion in the magnetic canopy of big sunspot AR2740. If the CME does strike, it will likely be a glancing blow sparking only minor geomagnetic storms. Department of Justice Issues Guidance on False Claims Act Matters and Updates Justice Manual The Civil Division today announced the release of formal guidance to the Department of Justice’s False Claims Act litigators. The False Claims Act provides important remedies for fraud committed against the United States. The guidance announced today explains the manner in which the Department of Justice awards credit to defendants who cooperate with the Department during a False Claims Act investigation. The formal policy, included as of today in the Justice Manual Section 4-4.112, identifies the type of cooperation eligible for credit. “The Department of Justice has taken important steps to incentivize companies to voluntarily disclose misconduct and cooperate with our investigations; enforcement of the False Claims Act is no exception,” Assistant Attorney General Jody Hunt said. “False Claims Act defendants may merit a more favorable resolution by providing meaningful assistance to the Department of Justice – from voluntary disclosure, which is the most valuable form of cooperation, to various other efforts, including the sharing of information gleaned from an internal investigation and taking remedial steps through new or improved compliance programs.” Under the policy, cooperation credit in False Claims Act cases may be earned by voluntarily disclosing misconduct unknown to the government, cooperating in an ongoing investigation, or undertaking remedial measures in response to a violation. Even if the government already has initiated an investigation, for example, a company may receive credit for making a voluntary self-disclosure of other misconduct outside the scope of the government’s existing investigation that is unknown to the government. Similarly, a company may earn credit by preserving relevant documents and information beyond existing business practices or legal requirements, identifying individuals who are aware of relevant information or conduct, and facilitating review and evaluation of data or information that requires access to special or proprietary technologies. Under the policy, the Department of Justice will take into account corrective action that a company has taken in response to a False Claims Act violation. Such remedial measures may include undertaking a thorough analysis of the root cause of the misconduct, appropriately disciplining or replacing those responsible for the misconduct, accepting responsibility for the violation and implementing or improving compliance programs to prevent a recurrence. Most frequently, cooperation credit will take the form of a reduction in the damages multiplier and civil penalties. If appropriate, the Department may also notify a relevant agency about the company’s voluntary disclosure, cooperation, or remediation so that the agency can take those actions into account in deciding how to apply administrative remedies. And the Department may publicly acknowledge the company’s cooperation. www.justice.gov/opa/pr/department-justice-issues-guidance-false-claims-act-matters-and-updates-justice-manual

Spain arrests 5 in Guatemala corruption investigation Spanish anti-corruption prosecutors have arrested five people who are suspected of being involved in payoffs by a Barcelona company to the former president and vice president of Guatemala. Prosecutors say Wednesday the case concerns the alleged payment between 2012 and 2015 of $30 million (27 million euros) in bribes by a Barcelona port operations company. The money allegedly went to then-president Otto Pérez Molina and his vice president Roxana Baldetti for a contract to build and operate a container terminal in Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala's largest Pacific Ocean port. The statement by prosecutors also says they are investigating the alleged payment in 2016 of 10 million euros ($11 million) to a then-Spanish police commissioner to stop the extradition to Guatemala of the CEO of the firm named Grup Maritim Terminal de Contenedores de Barcelona. abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/spain-arrests-guatemala-corruption-investigation-62904542
The embattled assistant adjutant general of the Florida National Guard, under investigation for allegations he covered up sexual misconduct in the ranks, announced Tuesday he was stepping down. In a statement to Military Times, Brig. Gen. Michael Canzoneri maintained his innocence, but that he was stepping down to avoid distractions. “I maintain my innocence in the allegations,” he said. “However, the investigation is a distraction to the force, our soldiers have a mission. So in order to support our soldiers, I have chosen to step down.” Canzoneri, a 37-year veteran who was promoted to brigadier general in December, 2016, will be on administrative leave until May 31 before entering the retired reserve, according to the guard. In March, the Tampa Bay Times reported that the Guard — about 12,000 soldiers and airmen who deploy to combat zones and help at home in natural disasters — was facing ongoing investigations into allegations of sexual misconduct and coverups that date back a decade. Maj. Caitlin Brown, a Florida National Guard spokeswoman, told Military Times that while none of the allegations against Canzoneri have yet been substantiated, there is an ongoing investigation into him by Department of the Army’s Office of the Inspector General. Some of the allegations against Canzoneri were detailed out in an email to a state lawmaker from south Florida written by Maj. Elliot Potter, a Tampa-based officer in the Florida National Guard’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Potter researched the allegations and forwarded them to his superiors. A copy of his email was obtained by the Tampa Bay Times. According to Potter, Canzoneri and another officer “have actively concealed evidence of sexual misconduct and other violence committed against soldiers of the Florida National Guard.” more… www.militarytimes.com/2019/05/07/under-investigation-by-the-army-ig-florida-national-guards-no-2-commander-steps-down/
Iraq, China’s CPECC in $1.07 bln deal to process gas from Halfaya oilfield Iraq and China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation (CPECC) signed a $1.07 billion deal to build and operate facilities to process natural gas extracted alongside crude oil at Iraq’s giant Halfaya oilfield. CPECC, an affiliate of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), will process around 300 million standard cubic feet per day (mcf/d) of natural gas extracted from the field alongside crude oil, the oil ministry said. Halfaya, operated by PetroChina, is Maysan Oil Company’s largest oilfield, producing 370,000 barrels per day (bpd) of the company’s total output of around 510,000 bpd. The current total production from Maysan Oil Company’s oilfields is now around 630,000 barrels per day and expected to reach 700,000 bpd in one year. Iraq continues to flare some of the gas extracted alongside crude oil at its fields because it lacks the facilities to process it into fuel for local consumption or exports. At the signing of the deal on Wednesday, Iraqi oil minister Thamer Ghadhban said that Iraq is in talks with international oil companies to build a 300 million cubic feet gas plant to process gas from the West Qurna 2 and Majnoon oilfields. No company has yet been selected. english.alarabiya.net/en/business/energy/2019/05/08/Iraq-China-s-CPECC-in-1-07-bln-deal-to-process-gas-from-Halfaya-oilfield.html
www.fdd.org/analysis/2019/05/08/shock-wave-generator-for-irans-nuclear-weapons-program/ Shock Wave Generator Iran was developing and building a nuclear weapons production complex in the early 2000s under the “Amad Plan,” with the goal of manufacturing five nuclear weapons by 2004. This program had moved beyond performing feasibility and scientific studies. Iran had a nuclear weapons design small enough to fit on the Shahab-3 ballistic missile and was creating the wherewithal to develop and make the subcomponents of that design. Some of the components were innovative and complex. The primary subject of this report is one of those subcomponents, the “shock wave generator.”1 This component, which is represented as the green layer under the outer casing in the nuclear explosive schematic (Figure 1), contributed importantly to the miniaturization of Iran’s nuclear weapon design. Its purpose is to uniformly initiate the high explosives, or “main charge,” which in turn compress the nuclear core made from weapon-grade uranium to achieve a supercritical mass and a nuclear explosion. This component falls under the general category of a multi-point initiation (MPI) system. Information provided to the Agency by the same Member State referred to in the previous paragraph [not included here] describes the multipoint initiation concept referred to above as being used by Iran in at least one large scale experiment in 2003 to initiate a high explosive charge in the form of a hemispherical shell. According to that information, during that experiment, the internal hemispherical curved surface of the high explosive charge was monitored using a large number of optical fibre cables, and the light output of the explosive upon detonation was recorded with a high speed streak camera. It should be noted that the dimensions of the initiation system and the explosives used with it were consistent with the dimensions for the new payload which, according to the alleged studies documentation, were given to the engineers who were studying how to integrate the new payload into the chamber of the Shahab 3 missile re-entry vehicle (Project 111).

US Market report Futures, Bond Yields Drop*-but not from last night-As Traders Brace For Trade Talks Collapse *edit-alway's the doom and gloom headline with you guy's. How about letting us get to Thursday when the meetings actually begin… () and bold/red-additions 6 months of "trade talk optimism" is being unwound in hours before our eyes. (thank you Munchkins-this all your fault BTW) World shares dropped to five-week lows on Wednesday as S&P futures and European stocks continued their slide following steep declines in Asia, as markets started to accept that a deal with China now appears impossible, at least in the short term. Bond yields slumped, the dollar jumped, the safe haven yen surged to a six-week high against the dollar, the pound slipped as Brexit breakthrough hopes faded, the Kiwi tumbled after New Zealand unexpectedly cut interest rates overnight, while Chinese stocks dropped after China reported an unexpected contraction in exports. (keep watching the yield curve- cap #3-that is the canary) (also oil as early action suggests that whatever the drop is at the bell it may not be much) Since this is highly manipulated please take this as observation's prior to actual action-don't have a crystal ball. European stocks pared early gains, with the Stoxx 600 trading as low as -0.4% and down for 5 of the past 6 days, as China reiterated its position on trade negotiations ahead of potential U.S. imposition of additional tariffs on Friday. Risk sentiment deteriorated after Reuters cited sources saying China backtracked on nearly all aspects of U.S. trade deal last week even as it added that "U.S. officials have little hope that Liu will come bearing any offer that can get talks back on track, said two of the sources." Earlier in the session, Asian stocks fell for a third day, with MSCI’s Asia-Pacific share index excluding Japan falling almost one percent to touch its lowest level since late-March, driven by healthcare and consumer staples firms. Almost all markets in the region were down, with Japan and China leading losses. The Nikkei dropped -1.5% and the Topix closed 1.7% lower, with Hoya Corp. and Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. among the biggest drags. The Shanghai Composite Index dropped 1.1%, as large banks and insurers drove declines. US event calendar 7am: MBA Mortgage Applications, prior -4.3% Markets seem dull relative to the above but the reality is that there’s a lot going. The last 24 hours has seen a bit of a delayed reaction to Trump’s China tariff tweet from Sunday as markets decided to take the glass half empty view as opposed to Monday’s more half full take. (all the reactions are nothing moar than the system throwing a hissy over POTUS kicking China in the balls as munchkins, again, hasn't done shit-the system own's itself through massive share buyback programs so as mentioned over the lat few day's they may drag this out for a few day's or even into next week) They may even sacrifice a few of the lower tier institution's along the way to keep the whole thing appearing to function. To be fair there wasn’t a lot of new news to report yesterday besides the ongoing trade-related rumbles. As of right now, China’s top trade negotiator Liu He is still due to travel to Washington tomorrow to meet with Lighthizer and Mnuchin. The suggestion is though that China is planning retaliatory tariffs immediately after the US increases theirs. This makes tomorrow and Friday’s meetings of critical importance and ultimately will dictate whether the threat is real or just hard ball negotiating tactics. Chinese state media has intensified its rhetoric, saying that “we will not take any step (that is) unfavorable to us. (like you have not had favor for 50+ year's-KYS) To the day ahead now, where this morning we’ll get March industrial production data out of Germany and April house price data in the UK. There is nothing of note in the US this afternoon however the Fed’s Brainard is due to speak just after lunch. Prior to that we’re due to hear from the ECB’s Draghi in Frankfurt at a student’s event, while the BoE’s Ramsden speaks this morning. South Africa’s national and provincial legislative elections are also due today, while US Secretary of State Pompeo is due to travel to London and meet with PM May. www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-05-08/futures-bond-yields-tumble-traders-brace-trade-talks-collapse www.bloomberg.com/markets/stocks/futures www.dailyfx.com/crude-oil www.marketwatch.com/investing/bond/tmubmusd10y?countrycode=bx
at it again: Warren Buffett: Berkshire Hathaway has been buying shares of Amazon Berkshire Hathaway has been buying shares of Amazon. But Warren Buffett isn’t the one behind the purchases. “One of the fellows in the office that manage money … bought some Amazon so it will show up in the 13F” later this month, Buffett told CNBC Thursday, on the eve of the kick off of Berkshire’s annual shareholders meeting in Omaha. Buffett was referring to either Todd Combs or Ted Weschler, who each manage portfolios of more than $13 billion in equities for Berkshire. Buffett has long been a fan of both Amazon and its CEO Jeff Bezos, praising the company’s dominance and the founder’s business prowess. But while Buffett has sung the company’s praises, he’s never bought Amazon shares. So a headline that Berkshire was buying shares likely would spark interest in the markets. “Yeah, I’ve been a fan, and I’ve been an idiot for not buying” Amazon shares, Buffett said. “But I want you to know it’s no personality changes taking place.” More: Warren Buffett commits $10 billion in Occidental Petroleum for Anadarko takeover This isn’t the first time Buffett has lamented about underestimating Bezos and not investing in Amazon years ago. The Berkshire chairman and CEO told CNBC in 2018: “It’s far surpassed anything I would have dreamt could have been done. Because if I really felt it could have been done, I should have bought it,” adding, “I had no idea that it had the potential. I blew it.” In 2017, Buffett told CNBC that “stupidity” was to blame for his not seeing Amazon’s potential. “I was impressed by Jeff Bezos early, I never thought he’d pull off what he did, on the scale of what’s happened. It’s changed your behavior, everybody’s behaviors. The remarkable thing is he’s done it in two industries at same time that really don’t have that much connection.” Buffett was referring to Amazon’s dominance in e-commerce and its success in the cloud with Amazon Web Services. www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/2019/05/03/berkshire-hathaway-buying-amazon-shares-says-warren-buffett/3660715002/

Rep. Ilhan Omar Supports Group That Produced Child Beheading Skit Why has Omar openly supported an organization with a long reported record of supporting terrorism and violence, as exhibited most recently by a shocking children’s pageant in Philadelphia last month? Shocking footage uncovered by the Investigative Project last week shows a skit produced by the Muslim American Society (MAS) in Philadelphia showing children calling for martyrdom as soldiers in the “army of Allah” and threatening to behead their enemies and subject them to “eternal torture” to wrest Jerusalem from Jewish control. The horrific MAS-Philly children’s skit was posted to their Facebook page and shows a choreographed production as part of the group’s April 17th “Ummah Day” pageant dedicated to supporting jihad to control Palestine. A MAS statement on Friday said the songs and poems the children recited exhorting violence and terrorism were an “unintended mistake” and attributed the incident to a vetting error. MAS has 42 chapters across the United States. A 1997 FBI file obtained by Judicial Watch identifies MAS as the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States controlled by Hamas sympathizers “known to conduct firearms and other military type training.” A Justice Department filing (p. 58, fn. 13) in a terrorism-related case states that “MAS was founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in America.” A September 2004 Chicago Tribune investigative report revealed that MAS had been founded by Muslim Brotherhood leaders, adopted the group’s strict code for secrecy, and promoted Islamic supremacy. thefederalist.com/2019/05/07/rep-ilhan-omar-supports-group-that-produced-child-beheading-skit/
Feinstein breaks home-state endorsement rule to spurn Kamala Harris and back Biden: 'I feel very loyal to him Almost all the senators in the 2020 Democratic presidential field enjoy the support of their fellow home state Democratic senators, but California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., broke that mold with her endorsement of former Vice President Joe Biden over her fellow Californian, Sen. Kamala Harris Feinstein told the Washington Examiner Tuesday that she feels more loyal to Biden than Harris. '“I’ve known Joe Biden for 20 years. When he was chairman of the Judiciary Committee, he made me the first woman. We have a longstanding relationship that dates way back. I love Kamala, I appreciate her, but she has known about this for some time. But that’s what I’m going to do. I feel very loyal to him,"' Feinstein said. Other senators, several of them, like Feinstien, 85, veteran lawmakers, either don't share the same bond with Biden, 76, or don't have the same sense of loyalty. Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., as a “proven leader with a strong message” the day Sanders announced his candidacy. When Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., announced his candidacy, Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., said that Booker “makes a great friend, and will make an even greater president.” Sen. Tina Smith, D-Minn., was “proud to stand with” Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., when Klobuchar announced her campaign, and Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., threw his support behind Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass, when she announced her candidacy. The only other senator seeking the presidency without the support of a home-state Democratic senator is Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Shumer, D-N.Y., said in March that he will “stay out of the presidential” race. “Let's see who the best candidate is," he said. Feinstein, on the other hand, not only threw her support behind Biden but also drew attention to the limited experience in national politics of Harris, 54. Harris was elected to the Senate in 2016. “She’s brand-new here, so it takes a little bit of time to get to know somebody,” Feinstein said in January. Feinstein’s support of Biden rather than Harris underscores the difference between older factions of the Democratic Party and the new, aggressive, liberal wing. While the two senators vote together about nine times out of 10, according to ProPublica, Feinstein's approach to some controversial issues differs from Harris. "A lot of the positions that Biden's taken that he's getting flak for, Feinstein's taken the same positions along the way," John Thomas, a Republican strategist in California, told the Washington Examiner. There may been some history here as well. When Harris was San Francisco district attorney, her handling of a 2004 killing of a police officer by a gang member prompted sharp criticism from Feinstein. Harris said that she would not seek the death penalty for the killer, and in response, Feinstein said that if she had known that Harris was against the death penalty, she probably wouldn’t have endorsed her for district attorney. Feinstein also disagreed with comments Harris made about "Medicare for all," which would eliminate private health insurance, at a CNN town hall in January. “Who of us has not had that situation, where you’ve got to wait for approval and the doctor says well, ‘I don’t know if your insurance company is going to cover this.’ Let’s eliminate all of that. Let’s move on,” Harris said at the town hall. In response, Feinstein said she was "not there” on eliminating private health insurance. "Feinstein respects seniority," Thomas said, noting that she is also very relationship-oriented and is more familiar with Biden. "Almost stroking her own ego, she needs to go with someone who has a comparable level of seniority." Harris on Tuesday ignored questions from the Washington Examiner in the halls of the Capitol, and her campaign and Senate office did not return requests for comment. www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/feinstein-breaks-home-state-endorsement-rule-to-spurn-kamala-harris-and-back-biden-i-feel-very-loyal-to-him
Trump court pick confirmed despite no blue slip from Schumer, Gillibrand The Senate on Wednesday confirmed President Trump’s pick for an influential circuit court despite neither home-state senator returning a blue slip. Senators voted 54-42 on Joseph Bianco’s nomination to serve as a judge for the second circuit. Democratic Sens. Joe Manchin (W.Va.) and Doug Jones (Ala.) voted with Republicans to confirm him. Bianco’s confirmation comes despite neither Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) nor Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) returning a blue slip on his nomination. He is Trump’s 38th appeals judge to be confirmed. Bianco was confirmed unanimously to serve as a district court judge in 2005 but his current nomination had run into controversy because of his ties to the Federalist Society. Judicial nominations have also become a lightning rod during the Trump administration, with Republicans moving on appeals judge nominations despite the objections of Democratic senators. The confirmation of Bianco marks the third circuit court judge to ever be confirmed without a blue slip, a sheet of paper that indicates if a home-state senator supports a nominee. The blue-slip rule — a precedent upheld by Senate tradition — has historically allowed a home-state senator to stop a lower-court nominee by refusing to return the blue slip to the Judiciary Committee. thehill.com/homenews/senate/442689-trump-court-pick-confirmed-despite-no-blue-slip-from-schumer-gillibrand
It’s Official: Trump Shifts All Security Clearance Work to Pentagon After months of speculation and a standing September deadline, President Donald Trump signed an executive order Wednesday officially moving the federal government’s background and security clearance investigations to the Defense Department and giving the receiving office a new name. After the 2015 breach of Office of Personnel Management systems that compromised sensitive personal information of more than 21 million current and prospective federal employees and contractors, the Obama administration created a new background investigation office called the National Background Investigation Bureau. But the administration also charged the Defense Department with supporting NBIB by building and managing the underlying IT systems, which would be called the National Background Investigation Service. Congress later passed language in the 2018 defense authorization bill giving the Defense Department responsibility for meeting its own clearance needs, which make up about 70 percent of all investigations work. The remaining 30 percent of civilian agency clearances would remain with NBIB and OPM. Rather than split that work up, the Trump administration made moves to migrate all clearance work to the Defense Department under the Defense Security Service. As the early days of planning began, officials took the opportunity to rethink the process, which hadn’t had an overhaul in more than 50 years. With Wednesday’s executive order, the move becomes official. The order also gives the Security Service a new name: the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency. The Defense Secretary is empowered to change the name again or move investigations to another Defense office, but must first consult with OPM, the Office of Management and Budget and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. The newly named office will be taking over all background investigations work by the end of September—a schedule set well before Wednesday’s executive order—but will get to work on some aspects much sooner. Get the latest federal technology news delivered to your inbox. email “[N]o later than June 24, 2019, the DCSA shall serve as the primary entity for conducting effective, efficient and secure background investigations for the federal government for determining whether covered individuals are or continue to be eligible for access to classified information or eligible to hold a sensitive position,” according to the order, giving the office just two months to take over the new continuous evaluation program for current clearance holders. Continuous evaluation—part of the Trusted Workforce 2.0 initiative launched in February to overhaul the clearance process—uses public and private data sources to flag potentially compromising behavior and alert decision-makers in real-time. That program is already assessing 1.1 million clearance holders, according to Terry Carpenter, program executive officer for NBIS, the office overseeing the technical overhaul of the investigations process. That work will only increase after June 24, but the teams will be getting assistance. As DCSA takes over all investigations work, NBIB staff and resources will be integrated into the new office. As part of the plan, some 2,000 employees will be transferred, NBIB Director Charles Phalen told Congress in December. The executive order requires the Defense Department and OPM to have a hard plan in writing by June 24. That plan will be executed through a newly established Personnel Vetting Transformation Office at DOD. NBIB will continue to process background investigations through the transition, but no later than September 30, according to the order. In March, DCSA, then still the Defense Security Service, absorbed the NBIS office and its 40 employees, previously housed at the Defense Information Systems Agency. What did Pat Shanahan work on at Boeing? Lasers? 747 with Lasers mothballed in 2012. Was that Barry’s idea? A $5 billion US military project to shoot down missiles with an aircraft-mounted laser cannon has come to an end, after years of testing that began in 1996. Funding for the laser-equipped 747 known as the Airborne Laser Testbed was cut late last year, and the aircraft has been reassigned to the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group - fondly called the Boneyard — where decommissioned aircraft go to die. www.theverge.com/2012/2/21/2814046/airborne-laser-testbed-canceled-boneyard

President Kennedy gave Israel a strong warning about its nuclear reactor in 1963 Kennedy, who was otherwise close to Israel, was furious with its ostensible nuclear weapons program. WASHINGTON (JTA) — Declassified documents show President John Kennedy warned Israeli Prime Minister Levi Eshkol in 1963 that U.S. support for the young country would be “seriously jeopardized” if Israel did not allow the United States periodic inspections of Israel’s nuclear reactor. A telegram from Kennedy dated July 4, 1963, congratulates Eshkol on assuming the prime ministership after David Ben-Gurion’s resignation and recounts talks between Kennedy and Ben-Gurion about inspections at the reactor in Dimona. “As I wrote Mr. Ben-Gurion, this government’s commitment to and support of Israel could be seriously jeopardized if it should be thought that we were unable to obtain reliable information on a subject as vital to peace as Israel’s effort in the nuclear field,” the telegram said. The telegram was declassified in the 1990s but was not widely available until last week when the National Security Archives, a project affiliated with George Washington University, posted it on its website. Kennedy, who was otherwise close to Israel, was furious with its ostensible nuclear weapons program, fearing that the Soviet Union could use it as leverage to maintain its influence in the Middle East. Eshkol, caught off guard by the tone of the telegram, took seven weeks to assent, and the twice-yearly inspections continued until 1969, when President Richard Nixon ended them. www.jpost.com/Diaspora/President-Kennedy-gave-Israel-a-strong-warning-about-its-nuclear-reactor-in-1963-589107
Iran informs foreign envoys it's decided to 'stop implementation' of some nuclear deal commitments Iran has announced that it will suspend some of its commitments under the US-abandoned nuclear deal, blaming some other participants of failing to stand up to Washington's pressure. Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani appeared Wednesday on national TV to announce the decision to scale down implementation of the 2015 deal, which is officially called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). He said the Iranian move was reciprocal action to US complete withdrawal from it under President Donald Trump. Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif earlier told reporters Tehran would be backing out of some "voluntary commitments" under the 2015 agreement as a response to the EU's inability to stand up to the pressure of Washington's attempts to isolate Iran. www.rt.com/news/458691-iran-nuclear-stop-implementation/
Coup Leader Barack “Milhous” Obama makes Nixon look like an amateur. WASHINGTON: It is increasingly clear that Barack Obama was the driving force behind the attempted Coup d’etat against Donald Trump. That Barack “Milhous” Obama was at the center of a vast conspiracy that makes Watergate look like a 3rd rate burglary. When the full range and scope of crimes is revealed, all of those who were involved must be held accountable. Obama makes Nixon look like a total amateur. That a cabal of John Brennan, James Clapper, and James Comey spied on an array of Obama political enemies and Republican adversaries. While using the most advanced surveillance weapons of the NSA. This was only part of a pattern of corrupt criminal activity by the Obama White House. Obama took the abuse of power to new heights, actively seeking to overthrow and destroy the incoming President. Its the biggest political scandal in American history. Far beyond President Nixon’s Watergate Scandal. Obama: Abusing NSA surveillance systems since 2012 From 2012 to 2016 James Comey allowed three federal contractors unfettered access to the PRISM and other NSA surveillance systems. They entered thousands of searches over those years, using the “about” query to pull up the full range of private communications and NSA intercepts. The targets of illegal surveillance went far beyond Donald Trump. You can imagine that every senior Republican and potential adversary of Obama had their names entered in the “about” query. They used FISA Court raw data under section 702 authority to access and utilize the NSA databases. Was Mitt Romney a target? Paul Ryan? Mitch McConnell? We know for a fact, because he admitted it, that John Brennan’s CIA hacked into the Senate Intelligence committee computers for months at a time. They had no boundaries. (‘A constitutional crisis’: the CIA turns on the Senate) Crossfire Hurricane: Spying on Donald Trump When Donald Trump ran for President, Democrat inquisitors shifted into overdrive. Samantha Powers, Ben Rhodes and Susan Rice unmasked Trump associates over 300 times in 2016. Over 300 times. (Exclusive: Rice told House investigators why she unmasked senior Trump officials) The FBI and CIA sent a series of spies to infiltrate the Trump campaign. They coordinated with British and Australian intelligence officials. To do this would have required State Department approval. So John Kerry was in the loop. “POTUS wants to know everything” Peter Strzok texted Lisa Page in September of 2016. “The White House is running this” he wrote again in October 2016. We know for a fact that John Brennan was the driving force behind implementing most of the criminal activities at the heart of the Obama White House. Neal plans next steps on obtaining Trump's tax returns by end of week House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal said Tuesday that the committee will weigh its options regarding its demand to review President Trump’s tax returns, hinting it could soon take the administration to court to force the release of the documents. “There does not have to be an intermediary step,” Neal said. Regarding the status of the tax returns investigation, the Massachusetts Democrat said that he would be consulting with lawyers for the committee and for the House Thursday, and that “I’ll have an answer for you by the end of the week." Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin denied Neal's request for Trump's tax returns on Monday, saying that there wasn't a legitimate purpose for the demand, setting up the possibility of a court battle. Neal downplayed the possibility of issuing a subpoena, noting that other committees have not been successful in obtaining information from the administration that way. And he all but ruled out a motion to hold Mnuchin in contempt of Congress, telling reporters the committee is not currently considering that. “We’re going to talk on Thursday, but that’s not a point of conversation at the moment,” Neal said. Citing advice from the House’s legal counsel not to comment on the ongoing investigation into Trump’s taxes, Neal declined to comment on a New York Times report Tuesday that Trump did not pay taxes in eight of the years 1985 through 1994 due to business losses, which totaled approximately $1.2 billion. www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/economy/neal-plans-next-steps-on-obtaining-trumps-tax-returns-by-end-of-week Meanwhile: House Ways And Means Chair Refused To Release His Own Tax Returns dailycaller.com/2019/04/04/house-ways-and-means-chair-refused-to-release-tax-returns/ >June 26, 2017 >We sent requests in April to every member of Congress asking for them to release their own tax returns, with the understanding they would be published. ICE nabs illegal immigrant who allegedly drove into California home, killing 3 sleeping family members A suspected drunken driver who was free on bail after being charged with plowing into a Northern California trailer home and killing three sleeping family members was in the U.S. illegally and was apprehended Tuesday, federal immigration agents announced. “Ismael Huazo-Jardinez is an illegally present Mexican national. The U.S. Border Patrol apprehended him in Arizona and granted him voluntary return to Mexico in February 2011. He illegally re-entered at some point thereafter,” U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman Paul Prince said in a statement to Fox News. “On Tuesday, May 7, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) (San Francisco) Fugitive Operations Team members apprehended Huazo-Jardinez. ICE used available resources to locate and detain him. He will remain in ICE custody pending the disposition of his immigration proceedings.” Huazo-Jardinez was first arrested Saturday night in the rural community of Knights Landing outside of Sacramento. The California Highway Patrol said Huazo-Jardinez was intoxicated and speeding when the truck he was driving missed a sharp curve and slammed into the Pacheco family’s live-in trailer. The crash killed Jose Pacheco, 38, Anna Pacheco, 34, and their son Angel Pacheco, 10. The Pachecos’ 11-year-old daughter remained in critical condition. Huazo-Jardinez had been released from the Sutter County Jail on $300,000 bail Sunday after a judge refused CHP’s request for a $1 million bail. Jail records showed Huazo-Jardinez listing a Yuba City address as his residence. www.foxnews.com/us/ice-illegal-immigrant-drove-california-home-killing-3-sleeping-family-members
Propaganda Alert!!! Globalists trying to deflect from the issue. May as well come out and say it ‘the fines are just a cost of doing this very profitable business’ Money Laundering – Why the UK Does Not Prosecute It A study by the CCP Research Foundation – which analyses banks’ so-called ‘conduct costs’ – revealed that the biggest 20 banks worldwide, including the biggest four in Britain, had paid or set aside £264 billion for fines in the five years to 2017. Britain’s biggest banks have paid out £71 billion for misconduct in the decade since the financial crisis. Much of these fines have related to money laundering but they were not prosecuted in the UK. Lloyds is the bank that has suffered the heaviest penalties with at least £23.4 billion in conduct-related costs and write-offs since 2008. RBS is second on the list. Its conduct and litigation costs since 2008, including amounts it has earmarked but not yet used, add up to £20.6 billion. The bailed-out bank also agreed to pay £3.6 billion to settle an investigation by the US Department of Justice (DoJ) for misselling mortgage-backed securities – the bonds at the heart of the 2008 crisis in America. RBS and Lloyds were bailed out when the financial crisis broke out to the tune of £45.5 billion and £20.3 billion respectively. Barclays avoided a UK state bailout – but only by taking £12 billion what looks like illegal emergency funding from the state of Qatar. The Serious Fraud Office is involved. HSBC has forked out nearly £10 billion in fines and other costs for its conduct since 2008. In the last few weeks – Standard Chartered, the British bank has been ordered to pay $1.1bn (£842m) by US and UK authorities to settle allegations for breaching sanctions against countries including Iran. But it doesn’t end there does it – it just keeps on going. In 2019 alone, leaving aside Standard Chartered, the Financial Conduct Authority has dished out fines to the financial services sector at the rate of more than one a month. In total, to the 9th April, they have fined the industry or people in it collectively to the tune of £272,487,887. What is interesting here is the missing link. British banks are world leaders in shovelling trillions into tax havens, most of it to evade taxation but a very good chunk of it is pure money laundering. Tyrants, despots, criminals, terrorists, traffickers – they are just as good a customer as any as far as the banks are concerned. Here, the British government and its toothless Financial Conduct Authority fail in every sense of the word. Money laundering through British tax haven islands and crown dependencies is something the state approves of – hence the lack of fines or punishment dished out for it. www.globalresearch.ca/money-laundering-uk-does-not-prosecute/5676800

Ominous note on STEM Wikipedia page a possible warning of school shooting HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – Nine days ago, someone added chilling notations to the Wikipedia page of the STEM School Highlands Ranch which was the site of a multiple victim school shooting on Tuesday. Two comments were placed on the school's page next to a 2018 article labeled “Anti suicide programs are implemented to help lower chances of suicide and school shootings.” At 5:48 on April 29, someone added the words: “Do they work? We shall see” in the notation area. Perhaps it's a coincidence but certainly a clue or a possible warning which Douglas County detectives and the FBI will track down in the aftermath of this event. FOX31 Denver is still checking into the editor. www.newser.com/story/274890/prosecutor-nxivm-head-had-sex-with-teen-virgin-camilla.html Prosecutor: NXIVM Head Had Sex With Teen 'Virgin Camilla' The inevitable salacious details are emerging at the sex trafficking and racketeering trial of Keith Raniere, the leader of the cult-like NXIVM group, and those details started flowing in a Brooklyn courtroom Tuesday via "Sylvie." The New York Times details testimony of the 32-year-old UK woman, who says she was lured into NXIVM for supposed "self-help" purposes and stuck around for 13 years, becoming a "slave" to the woman who recruited her, Monica Duran. Sylvie says she had to give "collateral" to Duran in the form of nude pictures and other materials. "Now I was Monica's slave and she was my master and the collateral was in place to keep that going," Sylvie told the court. Assistant US Attorney Tanya Hajjar also weighed in, calling Raniere, 58, a "predator" who "sold himself as the smartest, most ethical person in the world" and "compared himself to Einstein and to Gandhi," per Reuters. Hajjar told jurors about a young teen Raniere nicknamed "Virgin Camilla," whom Raniere brought from Mexico to New York along with her two sisters in 2005 to "mentor," per the New York Post. Instead, Hajjar said, he started having sex with them, including Camilla starting when she was 15, which could spur statutory rape charges. "This was organized crime, and Keith Raniere was the crime boss in the community," Hajjar tells the Times. But defense attorney Marc Agnifilo insisted that even if Raniere was tough or demanding, the group's members joined of their own free will. "This is something these people signed up for," Agnifilo said. "Control can be very bad. Control can also make Marines. Control can make gold medal winners." Raniere, who has pleaded not guilty to a slew of charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering, extortion, and forced labor, could face life in prison if convicted.
The republic has been dying in darkness. Like a parasite, the Senior Executive Service, U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has usurped the authority of our once great nation: 'Swamp' thwarts Trump with $1.9T ‘hidden tax’ in regulations President Trump’s administration cut by almost two-thirds the average number of regulations issued for every law passed, but still the “hidden tax” imposed by the unelected bureaucracy was nearly $2 trillion, according to a new analysis. The Competitiveness Enterprise Institute said that the $1.9 trillion in regulation translated into a “burden” of $14,600 on every household, an amount so high that if the costs were a country, it would the ninth largest, just ahead of Canada. The huge number and choking impact on the nation shows just how big a battle Trump’s anti-regulation war faces. During the 2016 campaign and while in office he has railed against the Washington "swamp" that includes unelected federal regulators entrenched in the bureaucracy. Clyde Wayne Crews Jr., author of the just-released Ten Thousand Commandments: An Annual Snapshot of the Federal Regulatory State, found that Trump has made good on his promise to cut regulations. He noted, for example, that Trump’s government cut the average number of regulations imposed for every new piece of legislation. The average is 27 rules, but the Trump administration cut that to 11 in 2018. Trump also reduced the regulations-filled pages of the Federal Register to a near low. What’s more, the Trump administration “withdrew or delayed” 1,579 Obama rules that were in the pipeline. And, he noted, the Office of Management and Budget reported that agencies cut $33 billion in the “regulatory budget,” and it anticipates additional savings in fiscal year 2019 of another $18 billion. Still, the costs of existing regulations are enormous, said Crews, vice president for policy and a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. “Despite the progress made on regulatory reform under President Trump, American consumers and businesses are still on the hook for the ‘hidden tax’ of federal regulation,” said Crews. “And that progress is further threatened by President Trump’s own regulatory impulses on issues ranging from antitrust enforcement to trade restrictions to food and drug matters, and more,” he added. www.washingtonexaminer.com/washington-secrets/swamp-thwarts-trump-with-1-9-trillion-hidden-tax-in-regulations Ten Thousand Commandments 2019 www.scribd.com/document/409009519/Ten-Thousand-Commandments-2019#from_embed www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/senior-executive-service/

As the keystone of the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978, the SES was established to “…ensure that the executive management of the Government of the United States is responsive to the needs, policies, and goals of the Nation and otherwise is of the highest quality.” These leaders possess well-honed executive skills and share a broad perspective on government and a public service commitment that is grounded in the Constitution.” www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/senior-executive-service/ “President Trump is planning to use his executive powers to remove a federal agency, in line with his administration's goal of cutting what it sees as wasteful spending and inefficiencies, the Washington Post reports. The big picture: By the fall, the Office of Personnel Management anticipates an executive order that will break up the agency and, at first, assign its responsibilities to 3 different departments. The administration reportedly does not intend to lay off any of its 5,565 employees, but will eventually shrink its workforce through retirements and unfilled vacancies.” www.axios.com/trump-office-personal-management-dismantle-838b05d9-4425-408a-a099-7cbd60ee49ab.html
Hackers steal $41 million worth of bitcoin from Binance cryptocurrency exchange HONG KONG (Reuters) - Hackers stole bitcoin worth $41 million from Binance, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, the company said on Wednesday, the latest in a string of thefts from cryptocurrency exchanges around the world. The 7,000 bitcoin were withdrawn by hackers using a variety of techniques, “including phishing, viruses and other attacks”, according to a post on Binance’s website by chief executive officer Zhao Changpeng. The post said user funds would not be affected because the company would use its secure asset fund for users to cover the loss. Bitcoin’s price dropped by as much as 4.2 percent in early Asian trading as news of the hack broke, although it later recovered some of its losses. Police have arrested 38 men and two women in the latest probe into historic sex offences in Rotherham. They have been quizzed over the alleged sexual assault and exploitation of 13 victims, who were aged between 11 and 26 at the time of reported offences between 1997 and 2015. The suspects are under investigation by the National Crime Agency as part of Operation Stovewood, which is looking into child sexual exploitation and abuse in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013. The NCA said the suspects are aged between 29 and 53 and from Sheffield, Rotherham, Leeds, Dewsbury and Maidstone. They have been arrested or interviewed by appointment over the last two months. All have been released under investigation or bailed while enquiries continue. Carl Vessey-Baitson from the NCA said: “Arresting such a large number of individuals, as part of one Stovewood sub-operation, shows our desire to listen to victims and bring offenders to justice is not wavering. “Stovewood is a challenging and complex investigation, with victims and survivors re-living abuse that took place many years ago. “To date we have engaged with over 410 victims and survivors and have arrested or interviewed by appointment 94 suspects, meaning this is the largest law enforcement investigation into non-familial child sexual abuse and exploitation ever undertaken in the UK. www.thestar.co.uk/news/crime/police-arrest-40-men-and-women-in-latest-probe-into-sex-offences-in-rotherham-1-9754969
Schneiderman Accuser Says The Abuse Got Worse After Trump Won The Election One of the women who accused former New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman of physical and verbal abuse said it got worse after President Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election. Because of what his quick rise as a prominent anti-Trumper did to his ego, Tanya Selvaratnam said Trump’s win exacerbated Schneiderman’s abusive tendencies. The Washington Post included her remarks in a report on her life since coming forward with the accusations last year. She accused Schneiderman of verbally demeaning her and physically abusing her during sex. Selvaratnam told The Washington Post she was disillusioned by the disconnect she saw between Schneiderman’s public image as a #MeToo champion — “People would literally be coming up to him and saying: Save us” — and his treatment of her in private. And that compounded the “trauma of the Trump era” for her. From The Washington Post: “The abuse seemed to worsen after Donald Trump was elected, she says, as Schneiderman began burnishing his reputation as one of the president-elect’s primary antagonists. ‘I was seeing behind the scenes that it was kind of smoke and mirrors, his ability to actually take down the president,’ she recalls. ‘I was disillusioned on many levels — with him as a person and as a politician.’ The trauma of the Trump era felt both personal and political. ‘People would literally be coming up to him and saying: Save us,‘ she says. ‘I witnessed this time and time again. In the back of my mind, I’d think, Do they have any idea what he does to me at home?’ A few weeks later, she went with a friend to his apartment to pick up her things. Selvaratnam still thought she was alone in having suffered from his abuse, and that the pressures of the Trump win had been, in part, to blame. But the friend who escorted her, Jennifer Gonnerman, a staff writer at the New Yorker, said she bet there were other women with similar experiences.” Selvaratnam said she doesn’t regret coming forward, and is working on a book to help other victims of abuse. Schneiderman resigned in May 2018, just hours after she and three other women detailed the allegations of abuse in a report by The New Yorker. He initially denied the allegations, but later apologized after prosecutors decided not to press charges. www.dailycaller.com/2019/05/07/schneiderman-abuse-victim-trump-election/

Lawsuits: Amazon Fired Women After They Got Pregnant Amazon has been hit with at least seven wrongful termination lawsuits, as seven female warehouse employees claim that the company fired them after they had gotten pregnant. Seven women are suing Amazon for wrongful termination, alleging that the company fired them from its warehouse after they got pregnant, according to a report by CNET, adding that the firings had occurred within the time-span of the past four years. One of the women suing Amazon, 'Beverly Rosales, told CNET that Amazon claims it fired her for taking too much time off of work, but Rosales says that her termination stemmed from her need to visit the restroom more often, which her manager counted as “time off task,” meaning the time taken off outside of the allotted breaks employees have throughout the workday. Rosales says that her manager told her it would be “against the rules” to use the restroom more often, suggesting that extra restroom visits would accumulate and count toward time off task. “When I had to go to the restroom, she literally stayed in that spot and waited for me to come back so she could talk to me about it,” said Rosales to CNET, “After that, I would just hold it towards the end of the day because I didn’t want to get fired.”' An Amazon spokeswoman said in a statement to CNET that the former employee’s claims are “absolutely not true.” “It is absolutely not true that Amazon would fire any employee for being pregnant,” said the Amazon spokeswoman, “we are an equal opportunity employer — we work with our employees to accommodate their medical needs including pregnancy-related needs. We also support new parents by offering various maternity and parental leave benefits.” Questionable practices involving restroom visits appear to be a frequent issue at Amazon. Last year, an undercover journalist and whistleblower reported that Amazon employees working in a warehouse in Staffordshire, United Kingdom were using what he referred to as a “toilet bottle” system, in which employees secretly urinated in a bottle rather than take trips to the restrooms. The Amazon employees considered the locations of the restrooms to be too sporadically placed, making it difficult for them to get to a restroom and then back to work quickly enough, which they believed put them at risk of getting fired, according to Business Insider, which added that drivers of Amazon-affiliated courier companies also said they found bottles of urine left by other drivers. In February, AJC reported that a former Amazon employee in Kentucky sued the company, alleging that he had been fired after Amazon discriminated against him for having Crohn’s disease, a digestive disorder that caused him to take frequent trips to the restroom. Another Amazon employee contracted the flu while pregnant in 2017, according to CNET, adding that the employee was advised to take three days off of work to rest, because the doctor said that there were difficulties detecting her baby’s heartbeat. The lawsuit alleges that an Amazon human resources manager said that the company “does not accept doctor’s notes,” and that the pregnant employee was fired four days later. The federal Pregnancy Discrimination Act does not allow for companies to discriminate against pregnant women. www.breitbart.com/tech/2019/05/07/lawsuits-amazon-fired-women-after-they-got-pregnant/
Facebook executive meets with U.S. lawmakers to discuss privacy WASHINGTON (Reuters) - With a multibillion-dollar settlement looming for Facebook over user privacy violations, Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg met with U.S. lawmakers on Capitol Hill on Tuesday to discuss legislation to protect users of the social network, officials said. The meetings had been long planned and were not to discuss reports that Facebook will soon settle a probe by the Federal Trade Commission into privacy lapses, according to a Facebook spokeswoman. '' Sandberg met with Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Roger Wicker, a Republican, and Democratic Senator Mark Warner and was expected to meet with Republican Senator Jerry Moran later on Tuesday, representatives for the senators confirmed. Moran and Wicker are among the six senators on a working group to draft a bill aimed at setting standards for online privacy for consumers. Sandberg met Monday with Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein, according to a staffer in the senator’s office. The Federal Trade Commission is investigating allegations that Facebook failed to live up to a 2011 consent decree to protect users’ privacy. The world’s largest social media network is accused of inappropriately sharing information belonging to 87 million users with the now-defunct British political consulting firm Cambridge Analytica. Facebook said last month the settlement could cost between $3 billion and $5 billion. Several published reports say a settlement would require the company to create an independent privacy oversight committee and take other steps to safeguard users. The steps would include appointing a federally approved privacy official at the highest level of Facebook and creating a privacy oversight committee that may include Facebook board members. FTC Chairman Joe Simons declined comment on the agency’s probe after a hearing on Tuesday before a Senate appropriations subcommittee. In the hearing, two lawmakers urged Simons to be tougher, with some of the concern focusing on the big social media platforms. Senator John Kennedy, a Republican, pressed Simons on when the FTC’s newly formed high-tech task force would bring significant new cases. Senator Chris Coons, a Democrat, made a similar point, saying to Simons: “I’m concerned you could be doing much more.” The potential settlement has found few defenders on Capitol Hill. In a letter to the FTC, Senators Richard Blumenthal, a Democrat, and Josh Hawley, a Republican, told the agency that even a $5 billion civil penalty was a “bargain for Facebook” and urged the agency to hold top officials, potentially including founder and Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg, personally responsible. Wyden argued on Tuesday that the social media giant appeared to be getting off easy. “First, Mark Zuckerberg has shown clear disregard for his customers’ privacy. He already has immense personal control over Facebook. Sunscreen chemicals seep into your bloodstream after one day of use: study By Amanda Woods May 7, 2019 The chemicals in popular sunscreens don’t just sit on the surface of the skin — many of them are absorbed into the bloodstream at levels that far surpass government-recommended thresholds for the compounds, according to a new study. The results of the study, published Monday in the peer-reviewed journal JAMA, don’t mean that the active ingredients contained in sunscreen are unsafe, according to an editorial accompanying the study, written by Food and Drug Administration chairman Robert Califf and JAMA dermatology editor in chief Kanade Shinkai. But the findings should give the industry pause, the researchers said. “The study findings raise many important questions about sunscreen and the process by which the sunscreen industry, clinicians, specialty organizations, and regulatory agencies evaluate the benefits and risks of this topical OTC medication,” the authors wrote. nypost.com/2019/05/07/sunscreen-chemicals-seep-into-your-bloodstream-after-one-day-of-use-study/
Japan, Russia to hold talks on territorial dispute on May 10 MOSCOW (Reuters) - Japan and Russia’s foreign ministers will hold a new round of talks in Moscow on May 10 aiming to resolve a territorial dispute between the two countries, Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday. Japan has been mounting a push to resolve a dispute over four islands - known as the Northern Territories in Japan and the Southern Kuriles in Russia - which has prevented Moscow and Tokyo from formally ending their World War Two hostilities. www.reuters.com/article/uk-russia-japan-islands-idAFKCN1SE1MO
Insightful Anon analysis: So why would [RR] be a witness and also the AAG Responsible for the charging decision in the Mueller Report? What Special Witness Cases did Mueller uncover that would make RR a witness to? To find this out you need to go back to Q drop >>5628683 [RR] has been deposed in Sealed Indictment cases pertaining to DC. Harris somehow knows this, notice how Hirono and Booker were looking like Cheshire Cats during the questioning. They set the stage to make Barr look like another Trump Stooge, but this time it did not work. He is smarter and much more witty than the 3 of them put together. He now knows it all and laughs at her, which pisses her off even more, she just starts badgering and repeating herself. She knows it didn't work. Someone (who shouldn't have) told her about [RR] and the Ethics team. Hum! So, where are we going soon? Who signed the last 2 FISA Warrants [RR] Who signed off on U1? [RR] [Mueller] [Clinton] [Brennan] [Obama] [Comey] etc. Where did the Uranium from America end up? Iran (the proxy of the C_A) and all the other DS cronies and crooks Why is it important to SPY on all of the Presidential Candidates against Crooked Hillary during primaries and election? Because all U1 participants had committed Treason and they needed to know if any of the Candidates knew about it or were being informed/briefed by someone from the gov. i.e. Gen Mike Flynn. Q drop >>2825004 FISA>Manafort Mueller prosecutes Manafort FISA>PapaD Mueller prosecutes PapaD FISA>Page Mueller never prosecuted Page (Why?) FISA>Flynn Mueller Prosecuted Flynn If you are gagged by the court, you cannot speak to the American People. Why wasn't Page gagged? But everybody else was? Think. Who triggered the First FISA? Page…because he was actually in Russia and talked to Russians. Who was FBI Director when he was an FBI informant? Mueller and where was [RR] Who recommended Page on Trump campaign? Manafort? Was it Roger Stone? What does the redacted info in Mueller Report pertain to? Could it be Stone? Grand Jury was Corsi questioned? Alex Jones? Who are these people? Who knows where the bodies are buried? Flynn and he was removed by Trump for lying to VP (that's a good cover) and then prosecuted for lying to FBI. Who needed him Shut-Up? Mueller and the entire team including Obama. Did Flynn learn about our Uranium being shipped to Iran from Canada thru Europe to Russia to Iran? Was there some kind of a pipeline deal everyine was promised to participate in? Who was formed as Enforcers and clearing the lands of those who had been there since the dawn of man? Could it Be ISIS/ISIL Did Flynn know where the money for Iran actually went and they wiretapped him to see if he told Trump or anyone else since he was on his team? If you tap Fynn with a FISA who else would you pick up? Did Flynn know why Clinton/Obama/Clapper/Brennan took out Ghadaffi and where his Gold went? Did Flynn know why Clinton took out Chris the Ambassador to Libya in the now famous Benghazi coverup? Was it because Arms from Libya were being shipped to Turkey and transported across border to arm ISIS/ISIL our sworn enemy? Did Flynn know that (((they))) started ISIS/ISIL to take out Assad, Ghaddafi, Egyptian Leader to establish an Islamic Caliphate in the Middle East that would rule for years, persecuting, raping, killing, enslaving Christians while USA looked the other way? And that pipeline got built and the enforcers were in place, except they got greedy andcwent into Iraq. A no no and who had to go kick their ASS? Q says YOU HAVE MORE THAN YOU KNOW General Mike Flynn is a Patriot and He's the KEYSTONE. I don't know what they picked up on those FISA taps, but Q has told us they tapped Trump and Cruz because they were Crooked's opponents. Did they get a FISA and FBI C_A NSA Surveillance (Spying) on Sanders campaign and used this info to prevent him from challenging Crooked for Primary. Q told us they used it on everyone, then why not Crazy Bernie. Flynn is the KEY-STONE In this entire operation and it's about to get Crazy from this point forward. What did Mueller uncover that needs to be Sealed, even from the Leaky Demonrats. These answers soon..There are a ton of Traitors that need the NOOSE! We should just give the Clintons and their Pedo friends to Haiti and let them kick their Asses and Hang Em! WWG1WGA
