>6 on pic 6 POTUS 100% Insulated (Continued) Anonymous30 Oct 2017 - 2:48:50 AM Some of us come here to drop crumbs, just crumbs. POTUS is 100% insulated - any discussion suggesting he’s even a target is false. Follow Huma tomorrow. POTUS will not be addressing nation on any of these issues as people begin to be indicted and must remain neutral for pure optical reasons. To suggest this is the plan is false and should be common sense. Focus on Military Intelligence/ State Secrets and why might that be used vs any three letter agency What SC decision opened the door for a sitting President to activate - what must be showed? Why is POTUS surrounded by generals ^^ Again, there are a lot more good people than bad so have faith. This was a hostile takeover from an evil corrupt network of players (not just Democrats). Don’t fool yourself into thinking Obama, Soros, Roth’s, Clinton’s etc have more power present day than POTUS. Follow the money, it’s the key. What is Pelosi’s net worth by way of one example. Why coincidentally is her memory apparently going? Cover for possible future indictment to plead what? What if John M never had surgery and that was a cover for a future out if needed against prosecution? Why did Soros transfer his bulk public funds to a NP? Note this doesn’t include massive slush funds that are pulled by several high ups. Why did Soros’ son have several meetings with Canadian PM and how is that related to Clinton’s? Why is MS13 a priority? Could people pay such gangs to kill opponents and why / how to insulate against exposure? The truth is mind blowing and cannot fully be exposed. These people are evil. Operation Mockingbird.

History and Function of Tariffs in the United States
Anon comment: Exactly. Great 2 minutes. Tariffs started with George Washington, and went to Ronald Reagan. We had tariffs when I was a kid. We had industry in America. You did not need a college degree to raise a family, buy a home. We made things. You walked out of high school and got a job, and bought a house…. eventually you started a family. The tariff created the level playing field and helped to bring labor up in other nations. Without tariffs, doubtful we could have helped Japan and the rest of Europe re-build after the war. It brought their labor wages up too. Forcing a level playing field helped everyone. When (((they))) decided to kill the US Constitution so they could establish an unelected global tyranny, they got rid of the tariffs to kill our manufacturing and move our companies to other nations to gut our industrial base. It was done to kill the country. We need to re-establish tariffs. If companies don't want to make things in the US anymore, fine. Cut em off and let the young people here start businesses to sell things to Americans.
New York Post Verified account @nypost Trump administration bans medical research using fetal tissue
Trump administration bans government scientists from using aborted fetal tissue in research The Trump administration will block government scientists from acquiring new fetal tissue from abortions to use in medical research, a major victory for abortion opponents. "Promoting the dignity of human life from conception to natural death is one of the very top priorities of President Trump’s administration," the Department of Health and Human Services said in a statement Wednesday that announced the change. Research using fetal tissue that is government-funded but conducted by scientists who are not employed by the government will be allowed to continue. The decision comes after months of speculation, as well as backlash from anti-abortion groups that demanded President Trump fire the head of the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Francis Collins, for saying that research using fetal tissue could provide useful study for treatments of devastating illnesses. In September 2018, HHS ended a contract the Food and Drug Administration had with Advanced Bioscience Resources, Inc. after saying that it was "not sufficiently assured that contract included the appropriate protections applicable to fetal tissue research or met all other procurement requirements." The agency also decided to have its staff review research involving fetal tissue to make sure that it was following all regulations and laws and that it was receiving proper oversight. www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/healthcare/trump-administration-bans-government-scientists-from-using-aborted-fetal-tissue-in-research
House panel steps up contempt threat against Barr, Ross over Census documents WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The House Oversight Committee said on Wednesday it will move forward with a vote to hold Attorney General William Barr and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross in contempt of Congress if they do not comply with a subpoena for documents related to the Trump administration’s handling of the U.S. Census. The Oversight Committee issued subpoenas two months ago for unredacted documents related to the Trump administration’s plan to add a citizenship question to the 2020 Census, the panel said. “We have been extremely patient in waiting for these documents, which were subpoenaed more than two months ago on a bipartisan basis,” Representative Elijah Cummings, chairman of the committee, said in a statement. “If they are not produced by tomorrow, we will be forced to move forward with holding Attorney General Barr and Secretary Ross in contempt of Congress,” Cummings said. After arguments in April, the conservative-majority Supreme Court appeared likely to accept the administration’s argument that the question would provide better data to enforce the Voting Rights Act, which protects eligible voters from discrimination. Critics say the question will lead to an undercount by some 4.2 million people, costing communities federal aid and political representation. Separately, after months, the Commerce Department agreed to permit three current and former department officials who were involved with the addition of the Census question to schedule interviews with the committee, the panel said. Barr also faces a contempt vote next week by the full House of Representatives on whether he failed to comply with a subpoena seeking the unredacted report on Russian meddling in the 2016 election. www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-census-contempt/house-panel-steps-up-contempt-threat-against-barr-ross-over-census-documents-idUSKCN1T61ZR?il=0

Tarbert, who previously was a senior official at the Treasury Department, will step in to head the agency overseeing the nation’s derivatives market. He will replace Chairman Christopher Giancarlo, whose term at the post expired in April. He was confirmed by a vote of 84 to 9. William Tully Brown, one of the last Navajo Code Talkers, dies at 96 William Tully Brown, one of a handful of remaining Navajo Code Talkers from World War II, died Monday at age 96. The Navajo Nation and U.S. Marine Corps confirmed Brown’s death. He’s the third Navajo Code Talker to die in the past month; only five of the group remain, CNN reported Wednesday. “On behalf of the Navajo people, we offer our thoughts and prayers for the family, loved ones, and community members who had the honor of knowing and sharing the life of Code Talker Brown. The Navajo Nation has lost another great Diné warrior,” Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez said in a statement. Brown was one of 400 Navajo Code Talkers who used their native language to develop a secret and undecipherable code to help the United States defeat the Japanese during World War II. The messages were a key factor in securing U.S. military victories at Iwo Jima and several other battles in the Pacific theater. Brown was born on Oct. 30, 1922 in Black Mountain, Arizona, and enlisted with the Marine Corps in 1944, Navajo Nation wrote in a news release. He served until he was honorably discharged in 1946. Brown received multiple awards for his service, including the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, Navy Occupation Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and Honorable Service Label Button, the Navajo Nation said. "We will always honor and remember the sacrifices he made at Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima in the protection of freedom and liberty," Navajo Nation Council Speaker Seth Damon said in a statement. Christopher Steele and the Fake Dossier Christopher Steele will talk to John Durham and prove FBI lied to Congress, Joe DiGenova says Trump dossier author Christopher Steele will likely be interviewed by U.S. Attorney John Durham and will show the FBI lied to Congress, attorney Joe diGenova said on Tuesday. A Sunday Times report said the British ex-spy agreed to talk with U.S. officials, if certain preconditions were met, and strongly suggested it was a deal with Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who is conducting an investigation into alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuses. But diGenova, a former U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, insisted that Durham, not Horowitz, would be the one to talk to Steele. "He's [Steele] obviously made a strategic decision because he's going to be interviewed by John Durham," diGenova said on Fox News. "It's not the inspector general from the Department of Justice who's going to talk to him because he doesn't have any reason to talk to Mr. Horowitz. He's going to talk to John Durham and his people. So there's obviously some sort of deal that has been worked out. This is great news." Durham, a U.S. attorney from Connecticut, has been tasked by Attorney General William Barr to review the origins of the FBI's Russia investigation. The report from British media said Steele is only willing to talk about his relationship with the FBI, for whom he was a confidential source, and wants the United States to get permission from the United Kingdom government first. The report came out as President Trump was in the country for a state visit. Despite his certainty that Durham struck the agreement with Steele, diGenova said, "I can't believe that Durham would agree to such limitations." "But this is what's important," diGenova continued. "He has to tell the truth to Durham because even though his testimony will be given overseas, he can be indicted in the United States if he lies to Durham. So I assume he's going to tell the truth because this is the big, this is the big casino now. And what he is going to prove is that the FBI lied in the FISA warrants and they lied to Congress and they lie to everybody about what they knew about Steele's behavior. … The walls are beginning to close in on the FBI fraudsters." Steele’s dossier, which was packed with unverified claims about Trump's ties to Russia, formed a key part of the FBI's Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act applications that were used to justify surveillance warrants against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page — a key point of concern among GOP investigators. Steele was working for Fusion GPS, which received funding through the Perkins Coie law firm from the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. Steele's Democratic benefactors were not revealed to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. Former FBI top officials have defended their conduct, despite admitting there were unreliable claims in the anti-Trump research, and Steele himself has acknowledged having questionable sources. DiGenova said Durham wants to talk to Steele because of "a criminal conspiracy" led by senior FBI officials. DiGenova served as an independent counsel in the 1990s for a case on former President Bill Clinton's passport before he was elected. Last year, it was announced diGenova and his wife Victoria Toensing were joining Trump's legal team for the federal Russia investigation, but that plan was nixed within days. He was highly critical of special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation, claiming that Trump had been "framed" by the Justice Department and the FBI, and recently said Horowitz determined that the three Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act extensions against Page were illegally obtained and was on the brink of finding the first Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act was completely illegal. www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/christopher-steele-will-talk-to-john-durham-and-prove-fbi-lied-to-congress-joe-digenova-says
Looks like Christopher Steele has cut a deal and will turn state's evidence on Russia Hoax prosecutions I don't think it is a coincidence that just as President Trump is in the U.K., we suddenly learn that "dossier" author Christopher Steele has agreed to be questioned by U.S. authorities. Chuck Ross of The Daily Caller reports: Former British spy Christopher Steele has agreed to meet in London with U.S. officials regarding the dossier, The Times of London is reporting. A source close to Steele told the newspaper he plans to meet with American authorities within the next several weeks, but only about his interactions with the FBI and only with the approval of the British government. Steele's decision is an apparent about-face from his reported refusal to meet with U.S. investigators regarding his infamous report. Reuters reported in May that Steele was unwilling to meet with a federal prosecutor who Attorney General William Barr tapped to lead an investigation into the origins of the Russia probe. And Politico reported on April 17 that Steele was refusing to meet with the Justice Department's office of the inspector general, which is looking into the FBI's use of the dossier to obtain surveillance warrants against Carter Page, a Trump campaign adviser. www.americanthinker.com/blog/2019/06/looks_like_christopher_steele_has_cut_a_deal_and_will_turn_states_evidence_on_russia_hoax_prosecutions_.html
Democrats ram DACA amnesty bill through House Instead of dealing with the border crisis and applying pressure to Mexico to either help the control of illegals over the border or face economic consequences, they pasas a A DACA amnesty bill would would give amnesty to around 2.5 million illegal aliens. No coidencently, this comes one day after Mexican officials met with House Democrats. House Democrats voted 237-187 Tuesday to pass a bill that, if entered into law, would grant amnesty to an estimated 2.5 million illegally resident people. They also blocked a proposed change to the bill from Republicans, which could have helped reduce illegal immigration by funding border crisis relief to the tune of $4.5 billion. H.R. 6, the American Dream and Promise Act, made it to the floor following a contentious intraparty debate over its contours in the House Judiciary Committee. If passed into law, the bill would create a path to citizenship for three distinct groups of illegally resident individuals who have been heretofore protected from deportation by separate government programs. Specifically, H.R. 6 would offer protection from deportation to 2.1 million individuals who arrived to the United States as minors (including 600,000 DACA recipients), and 400,000 some beneficiaries of the TPS and DED programs. Those who arrived as minors would be offered Conditional Permanent Residency, with a path to Lawful Permanent Residency (i.e. a Green Card) and even citizenship; TPS and DED recipients would be granted green card status. The bill passed with the support of over 230 cosponsors, all Democrats. It now goes to the Senate, where it is unlikely to get any traction under Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.). As such, its passage is largely symbolic, indicating where Democrats would take immigration policy if they were swept into power in the 2020 elections. www.pacificpundit.com/2019/06/04/democrats-ram-daca-amnesty-bill-through-house/

And if… The Clintons are closely affiliated with the media machine… And if… The CIA was given the directive of creating media shell companies and purchasing shares in news media in support of actions like Operation Cyclone…. Is it proper to suggest that media "journalists" are likely part of a terrorist network in league with militant cells they cover?
New York Times Trades ‘Fetal Heartbeat’ For ‘Embryonic Pulsing’ In Abortion Reporting The New York Times traded in the term “fetal heartbeat” for “embryonic pulsing” in a report on Louisiana’s new abortion ban last week, playing to abortion advocates and journalists eager to downplay the realities of abortion. “The measure would require an ultrasound test for any woman seeking to terminate a pregnancy, and forbid abortion if the test detects embryonic pulsing — which can occur before many women know they are pregnant,” reporter Alan Blinder wrote. The sanitizing language was first highlighted by Breitbart News. It’s not a medical term and was apparently invented by Blinder. A slew of states have similar laws on the books, known as fetal heartbeat bills because they ban abortion after a heartbeat can be detected in the unborn baby. Blinder goes out of his way to avoid the term throughout the piece, noting in the lead that the bill bans the procedure “after the pulsing of what becomes the fetus’s heart can be detected.” An unborn baby isn’t considered a fetus in medical terms until the 11th week of pregnancy, when most of its major organs are formed. But the heartbeat of the boy or girl can be detected as early as 6 weeks. Blinder’s decision to use “embryonic pulsing” instead of heartbeat falls in line with larger media efforts to dehumanize unborn babies and sanitize the reality of abortion. NPR urged journalists not to use the term unless absolutely necessary in recent guidance published as a reminder to reporters on its policies for abortion reporting. The guidance explicitly instructs reporters to adopt opaque or sanitized terms and Planned Parenthood talking points while avoiding any terms that could come across as pro-life or inadvertently humanize the unborn. Reporters are told not to use the term fetal heartbeat unless it is in quotes and attributed to pro-life activists. The guidance states: “One thing to keep in mind about this law and others like it: Proponents refer to it as a ‘fetal heartbeat’ law. That is their term. It needs to be attributed to them if used and put in quotation marks if printed. We should not simply say the laws are about when a ‘fetal heartbeat’ is detected. As we’ve reported, heartbeat activity can be detected ‘about six weeks into a pregnancy.’ That’s at least a few weeks before an embryo is a fetus.” dailycaller.com/2019/06/04/new-york-times-fetal-heartbeat-embryonic-pulsing-abortion/

Blinder goes out >of his way to avoid the term throughout the >piece, noting in the lead that the bill bans the >procedure “after the pulsing of what becomes >he fetus’s heart can be detected.” In all these long years, I have waited for this. The left is retreating to higher ground. Their moral smugness now ends around 11 weeks with far too many women. The remorse and warnings of women from the mid 70's to early noughty's who used abortion as birthcontrol reaching a broad (kek) and young audience, and medical technology that not only allows fantastic images of children in the womb but also can save ever younger premies is destroying the marketing message. Pushing these laws after the leftists gave themselves standing ovations for enshrining infanticide in law is causing fear and indecision on the left. It's like all of their prized campaigns are having a light shined on them, and the ugliness of their policies and hypocracy of their marketing campaigns becomes all to apparent.

Princess Diana Spencer
Interesting touristanon experience: Elizabeth was blindsided by the avalanche of bad press, and public demonstrations, after Diana's death I still remember it well. The RF was in Balmoral as usual for that time of year (August). William and Harry were there along with Charles, who broke the news to them. The video of the Queen actually bowing her head to Diana's coffin as it passed by the family, who were all standing together at the palace gates. The TV coverage was indescribable to watch live. All I can remember is the horrific images, and the massive, massive crowds silent except for the sobbing and wailing. I'd never heard anything like it before, and hope to never hear it again. Years later, I was visiting friends in Northampton UK, and we drove down a little country lane past Althorp, the Spencer family estate. We went to the TINY nearby village, Great Brington, and stopped at the little pub for some food. A couple of other men knew my friend, and they started chatting. "Did you tell your friends where she really is?" one said. No one in that community thinks her body is in that tomb on the Althorp property. The two guys at the pub started talking about the night before the funeral. They said the police closed the roads, and some trucks showed up at the ancient village church. Lighting equipment was set up and turned on, and the guys said it was obvious people were working in the church all night long. Diana Spencer, they were completely convinced, is buried in the Spencer tomb inside the church at Great Brington, along with her father and 19 generations of her Spencer ancestors. We visited the church the next day. It is a jewelbox of an ancient place, with worn stone floors and needlepoint kneelers at every pew. The Spencer chapel is protected by ornamental iron gates, with large marble effigies of long-deceased Spencers inside. I don't believe this story is the "conspiracy theory" that you can find on the internet; I think it's true. My friend and his friends had lived nearby all their lives, and were very serious when they talked about it. That church is unique for something else: Just as interesting, especially for American visitors, is a worn grave slab in the chancel. The slab commemorates Lawrence Washington (d. 1616), a direct ancestor of George Washington, first President of the United States. The heraldic shield on Washington's grave lab shows the Washington coat of arms with alternating rows of stars and stripes, the model later used by George Washington for the American flag. www.britainexpress.com/counties/northants/churches/great-brington.htm

Republican, Democratic senators seek to block POTUS' Saudi arms sales Republican and Democratic US senators said on Wednesday they would introduce 22 separate joint resolutions seeking to block President Donald Trump’s plan to sidestep congressional review and complete more than $8 billion in military sales to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan, reports Reuters. Backers of the effort said it was intended to “protect and reaffirm Congress’ role of approving arms sales to foreign governments.” The effort is led by Senators Bob Menendez, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and Republican Lindsey Graham, one of his party’s leading foreign policy voices who is often a close Trump ally. Two other Republican senators – Rand Paul and Todd Young – and three Democrats – Chris Murphy, Patrick Leahy and Jack Reed – also joined the announcement. Declaring an emergency because of tensions with Iran, the Trump administration informed congressional committees on May 24 that it was going ahead with the 22 military deals worth $8.1 billion, circumventing a long-standing precedent for lawmakers to review major weapons sales. The decision angered members of both parties, who worried that Trump’s decision to blow through the “holds” process would eliminate Congress’ ability to prevent not just Trump but future presidents from selling weapons where they liked. www.middleeastmonitor.com/20190605-republican-democratic-senators-seek-to-block-trump-saudi-arms-sales/ LG on this list……

Seems the scramble for the dollar has abated, perhaps this has to do with the recent rise in crypto's but those would still need to be converted into dollar's. And while Powell made 'terrible news great again', as observed late last night when the China Caixin Services PMI dropped again by 1.8 to 52.7 in May, below consensus expectations (the sub-indexes suggest slow down in the growth of services exports orders, new business and employment, though inflationary pressures were reduced slightly in the services sector). Sum Ting Wong. Sending futures even higher, the overnight rally has cooled somewhat amid lingering trade-war concerns. Futures are up quite a bit from last night-were fairly flat to up. Asian stocks gained, led by industrials and IT sectors. Japan and Hong Kong led the rally, while markets in Singapore, India, Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia were shut today for public holidays. Japan’s Topix Index closed 2.1% higher. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index snapped its five-day losing streak, with Techtronic Industries Co. and WH Group Ltd. contributing most of the gains. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 Index rose 0.4% after its central bank chief strongly suggested he could follow up Tuesday’s interest-rate cut with another reduction. Overnight, the IMF cut its 2019 economic growth forecast for China to 6.2% on heightened uncertainty around trade frictions, saying that more monetary policy easing would be warranted if the Sino-U.S. trade war escalates. Ten-year Treasuries were little changed. China Crackdown On US Companies Escalates - Ford Fined For Anti-Trust Violations Just when we thought it was safe to buy the f**king dip amid comments from China that implied an easing of tensions (despite Chinese media denying any such softening), news overnight confirmed tensions with US firms is escalating. Just days after China said that it’s investigating FedEx for “wrongful” deliveries, a move framed by the state news agency as a warning by Beijing, Bloomberg reports that China has fined Ford's main joint venture in the country for antitrust violations. According to a statement on the State Administration for Market Regulation’s website, Changan Ford Automobile, the 50:50 venture between Michigan-based Ford and Chongqing Changan Automobile, must pay a penalty of 162.8 million yuan (US$23.6 million) - equivalent to 4 per cent of the venture's annual sales in Chongqing - for a business practice that restricted retail prices since 2013. "It’s hard to see [this fine] as not related [to US tensions]," said Andrew Polk, co-founder of research firm Trivium China in Beijing. "At this stage I think our baseline assumption should be that there are no coincidences." In an emailed statement, Changan Ford said it will accept the fine imposed by China’s anti-monopoly authority agreeing to further regulate its operations in China and safeguard a free, fair market competition environment. The fine adds to Ford’s woes in China as sales at its Changan venture dropped 54 percent in 2018. This latest move follows the Trump administration's ban on business with telecommunications giant Huawei and China's threat to blacklist foreign firms that damage domestic companies’ interests. It would seem this trade war is anything but de-escalating and once President Trump returns from Europe, we suspect the rhetoric will worsen. www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-06-05/china-crackdown-us-companies-escalates-ford-fined-anti-trust-violations
WTI Extends Losses After Biggest Total Inventory Build Since 1990 Oil prices tumbled overnight on signs that U.S. crude inventories jumped last week (API reported a big build), worrying investors that supplies are swelling at the same time a trade war is threatening demand. API Crude +3.55mm (-1.8mm exp) Cushing +1.408mm (-800k exp) Gasoline +2.696mm (+500k exp) Distillates +6.314mm (+600k exp) DOE Crude +6.771mm (-2.0mm exp) Cushing +1.791mm (-800k exp) Gasoline +3.205mm (+500k exp) Distillates +4.572mm (+600k exp) - biggest build since Jan The API data also showed a combined 9 million barrel increase in distillates and gasoline stockpiles and crude shocked, but last week's vast difference between EIA and API data should not be ignored. After last week's de minimus draws in crude (and at Cushing), expectations were for a crude draw but EIA reported a shocking surge in inventories across the board. US Crude inventories are at their highest since Aug 2017 (well above the 5-year average). Additionally, Bloomberg notes that effects from the Midwest and Great Plains flooding are likely to hit Cushing after a key outbound pipeline was forced to shut, while a number of refiners cut runs (refineries have been running below normal for this time of year and at the lowest since 2016). US crude production pushed to new record highs despite the ongoing (slow) decline in rig counts. Some crazy high-frequency moves in oil prices this morning, well down from last night's surprise build reported by API, traded below $53 ahead of the EIA data (although algos were pushing it higher before the print, which sent prices tumbling). This was the biggest rise in total crude and product stocks in weekly data going back to 1990. www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-06-05/wti-extends-losses-after-large-inventory-builds-across-board? www.dailyfx.com/crude-oil
Not so fast — interest-rate cuts are not a done deal, experts at Fed conference say they get ONE day of up and now they don't want to cut rates or not take the yield curve seriously?? Never in the history of finance has there been one entity that says so many words with out actually saying anything of substance.' Doubts about easing emerge on sidelines of Fed’s strategy conference even as rate-cut expectations buoyed markets The Federal Reserve gathered experts in Chicago this week to talk about the long-term strategy of monetary policy. But the short-term view took over the chatter from the sidelines of the conference, specifically the next few months and whether market expectations of interest-rate cuts will be self-fulfilling. Financial markets are now pricing in three rate cuts by January, according to CME Group’s Fed Watch tool, a view that sent stocks sharply higher on Tuesday and left stock futures pointing to additional gains Wednesday. pepe has used the CME Fed Watch tool for a very long time-this is where the call for the rate cuts came from a few weeks ago-data doesn't lie…people do. See Cap#2-this suggests a 30% chance of .25 at June 18-19 FOMC meeting-this also has a summary of economic projections associated with it-done 4x a year. Some experts at the Chicago conference think the market is overstating the downside risks to the economy from the trade tensions. “I don’t have a recession in my outlook. I don’t think the data supports that,” one added “If you put the blinders on and ignore financial markets and just focus on the data,” you wouldn’t be expecting rate cuts. this is the fallacy of most analysts as they refuse to see what has habbeened instead only focusing on data-a good trader or analyst uses bits of both to arrive at a reality-based conclusion-you may not always be right but at least it's based. But the drumbeat for Fed easing continues to build. Former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, writing in the Washington Post, said that if the Fed moves slowly on rate cuts, it would be “a grave error.” He called for the Fed to cut interest rates by 50 basis points over the summer and “by more if necessary” in the fall. KEEP IT CLASSY! CODE: 162 me this is from Larry "no comment" Summers??? and I agree with it-staggered this is coming from him. Economists who think the Fed will cut interest rates generally don’t believe the central bank will move at its next meeting on June 18-19. Nothing is off the table at this point-can see a surprise of .25 but would not make a bet on it. www.marketwatch.com/story/fed-interest-rate-cuts-are-not-a-done-deal-experts-say-2019-06-05 www.cmegroup.com/trading/interest-rates/countdown-to-fomc.html
China's Central Bank: “Everyone, Please Don’t Worry" Unsurprisingly, the Xi Jinping-led government has little interest in commemorating the event, or in allowing others to pause and remember. Domestic social media platforms have “barred users from changing their profile photos and other information,” Bloomberg says, while financial data company Refinitiv has blocked all Tiananmen-related stories from its Eikon terminals, after the Cyberspace Administration of China “threatened to suspend the company’s service,” according to Reuters. While Refinitiv may suffer a reputational knock in the West for this evident kowtow, its social credit score looks poised for an upgrade. If only the recent trouble in China’s banking system could be so easily suppressed. Following the government’s takeover of distressed Baoshang Bank Co., the People’s Bank of China tried to calm the situation by assuring investors that no further such interventions were in the cards: “Everyone,” says a message on the PBOC website: “please don’t worry. At present we don’t have this plan.” But Bloomberg reports today that a pair of smaller institutions, Guilin Bank Co., Ltd. and Jincheng Bank Co., Ltd., have delayed plans to sell RMB 1 billion ($140 million) in tier-2 bond sales following the Baoshang news. Over the weekend, Bank of Jinzhou, which holds $113 billion and $53 billion of assets and deposits, respectively, saw its auditor Ernst & Young Hua Ming LLP resign due to “indications that some loans to institutional customers weren’t used in ways consistent with the purposes stated in documents,” per Bloomberg. In response, the bank’s 5.5% dollar-pay perpetual bonds fell below 65 from 81 a week ago, for a 19.2% yield-to-call. www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-06-05/chinas-central-bank-everyone-please-dont-worry see here: There are 3 reasons China just took over a bank for the first time in 20 years, and 2 of them are a huge deal www.businessinsider.com/china-baoshang-bank-takeover-why-it-matters-2019-5
EPA chief accuses New York Times reporters of colluding with Sierra Club Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Andrew Wheeler escalated a dust-up with the media Monday by accusing New York Times reporters of colluding with a major environmental group by retweeting a "made-up" quote of his. “Makes me wonder if the two reporters for the New York Times were colluding with the Sierra Club," Wheeler said Wednesday, addressing the agency's Scientific Advisory Board. He told the board's members to use "caution" and "to be careful what you read in the media" after the incident. The controversy started when EPA slammed a reporter from Yahoo News on Tuesday, saying he made up a quote from a National Press Club address he gave on Monday. The story reported that Wheeler said the news media does a disservice by reporting on global warming. EPA clarified that what Wheeler said Monday was: "The media does a disservice to the American public and sound policy-making by not informing the public of the progress this nation has made." Wheeler called the Yahoo News story, which he said was then retweeted by two New York Times reporters, "made up." The EPA did not identify the specific reporters, but the climate reporters Kendra Pierre-Louis and Lisa Friedman retweeted the tweet in question. Later, the Sierra Club used the story in a tweet of its own. Wheeler told the science advisers to come to him directly if they have any questions about what they read in the media. www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/energy/epa-chief-accuses-new-york-times-reporters-of-colluding-with-sierra-club
Youtube pushing anticonservative propaganda - think MIRROR YouTube promoting a Hulu show, The Handmaid's Tale, about a totalitarian existence based around sexual servitude of women for the purpose of forced procreation. Taking liberty with the novel, the producers naturally attempt to make this a political propaganda piece about current America, a warning for liberals, and especially liberal women, of what is likely to happen if conservatives have their way. Those of us who have been awakened know there is much more to the story, how Hwood is controlled, by who, and their actual agenda. Instead of a warning about what would happen should conservatives (us) have their (our) way, the nightmare world portrayed in the story is their planned future! Think mirror. In the still frame composite, note the cultish imagery, symbology, the final message to burn it all to the ground, with the image of Washington DC, and a cross in place of the Washington Monument. Hwood cabalists signaling to themselves. Amusingly, even left leaning news outlet The Guardian are rebelling against the extreme tone of the production, particularly the plot where viewers are directed to feel sympathy for the evil abusers in the story. Also, in the YT comments beneath the Hulu show promo piece, there aren't many people connecting the show's undercurrent propaganda themes to current America. There is no cry for revolt. Few are listening to the messages. At the same time, Hwood and cabalists are trying very hard to make the garb worn by the abused women the official protest clothing against Trumpism (us, awakening, truth). The promo clip:
Americans view fake news as a bigger problem than terrorism Americans view made-up news and information as a bigger problem than other critical issues, including terrorism, immigration, climate change and racism, according to a new survey from Pew Research Center. Why it matters: The survey finds that Americans feel more worried today about fake news because it's undermining their trust in key institutions, like government and the media. The only issues that rank higher than made-up news and information as "very big problems in the country today" are drug addiction, the affordability of health care, the U.S. political system, and the income gap. By the numbers: An overwhelming majority of Americans (68%) believe made-up news and information has a big impact on their trust in government, according to the survey. More than half (54%) of Americans say it impacts their confidence in other Americans. More than half (51%) say it impacts the ability of political leaders to get work done. Between the lines: While most Americans blame political leaders and activist groups for creating misinformation over journalists, most say "the news media" is the most responsible for fixing the problem. Republicans blame journalists more for the issue than Democrats, according to the survey. The big picture: Misinformation has always existed in various forms, but the internet era has made the problem harder to stop in real-time. According to the poll, more than half of Americans sometimes come across fake news online, and many report changing their internet habits to lessen their overall intake of fake news as a result. Our thought bubble: "Fake news" and "misinformation" are abstract terms, which gives people in power — such as President Trump — room to weaponize the term in order to denounce news they don't like. This has dramatically exposed more Americans to the debate around the problems it causes for society, and likely impacts their view of it as an important issue. What's next: Don't count on the public to be optimistic about the issue ahead of 2020. A majority of those surveyed said they think the problem will get worse over time. www.axios.com/americans-fake-news-problem-terrorism-da565b6c-6ab3-42a1-ae08-3400d68ab99c.html ——————– Fake News Media is mad that Trump is always calling them out! So…isn’t this RAYYCISSSS against Native Americans to whom tobacco is a sacred plant? June 5 (UPI) – One of the wealthiest communities in California has become the first city in the United States to ban the sale of tobacco products, after councilors approved a new law that will take effect in 2021. The city of Beverly Hills passed the new law Tuesday. While it doesn't bar smoking inside city limits, it prohibits any business from selling tobacco products beginning Jan. 21, 2021. The new ordinance exempts existing cigar lounges and will allow hotels to sell such products to guests.
Lawanon theory on real reason for anti trust inquiry into Google/FB etc - Origin & secret ownership by DARPA/CIA anons lawfag here with a theory behind the just announced antitrust investigations into big tech companies and how this fits in The Plan. so the surface explanation of anti trust inquiry is to evaluate whether the size and activities of the company are causing "anti-competitive effects in a given market." and this will continue to be reported on and talking heads will all join in. but this is NOT the reason the govt. has launched these investigations - BREAK UP THE MONOPOLY! PROTECT THE CONSUMER! they cry - but this is a distraction and a political circus. Nope the real reason is in the true ORIGIN and actual current secret ownership and control of these companies - which anons know lie on the GIVEAWAY of DARPA tech to selected private entities - in effect stealing these billions from WE THE PEOPLE and using it to support and control the military indutrial complex thru SECRET arrangments. Here on the board we KNOW all this and have posted conclusive proof with regard to LIFE LOG/FACEBOOK - and this model applies to many KNOWN DARPA/CIA controlled "private companies" that are support the cabal and gloablists WW. So the hypothesis is the REAL purpose of these investigations is not to promote competition - no - it is to LEARN THE TRUE STRUCTURE OF OWNERSHIP AND CONTROL OF THESE COMPANIES! Because there are millions of shares held by thousands of different entities and "someone" knows that many o these entities are CIA or other govt agency controlled. These investigations will DIG and then MAP out these command structures just like a military OP. ONLY if and when the hidden ownership and control is established can the illegal system be EXPOSED AND DESTROYED - and that is "the systematic desctruction of the old guard."
Vaccination & infant deaths SIDS often occurs after vaccination and the "diagnosis" is more of a cover-up than a real diagnosis. Apparently babies are not the only ones to get "SIDS". Subversion...oh my www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org/2019/06/04/report-splc-tied-to-violent-antifa-organization/ Report: SPLC Tied to Violent Antifa Organization June 4, 2019Christopher Holton On 21 May an important article by Tyler O’Neil appeared on PJ Media in which evidence was presented that indicated ties between the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and the violent, political extremist organization Antifa. Not enough attention has been focused on O’Neill’s article and the revelations it disclosed: pjmedia.com/trending/report-shows-online-ties-linking-huffpost-the-guardian-and-splc-to-antifa/ O’Neill cites research from Dr. Eoin Lenihan. Lenihan’s data indicates that “chief investigative reporter for the SPLC Matthew Hayden [has] connections within Antifa,” which Lenihan describes as “problematic.” Hayden’s ties to Antifa are especially troubling given the SPLC’s prior acknowledgement of Antifa’s violence and outright refusal to include the organization in their list of “hate” groups: capitalresearch.org/article/splc-wont-label-antifa-as-hate-group/ The SPLC’s refusal to designate Antifa a hate group was based on the contortionist logic that Antifa’s hate was not “discriminatory.” That nonsense was expressed by the now former president of the SPLC, Richard Cohen: www.washingtonexaminer.com/southern-poverty-law-center-condemns-antifa-but-wont-call-hate-group Ironically, Cohen resigned under pressure in March due to revelations that the SPLC was overrun with sexual harassment and discriminatory practices on his watch: www.dailysignal.com/2019/03/25/splc-president-richard-cohen-resigns-from-embattled-left-wing-nonprofit/ The reality is that the SPLC targets conservative organizations with trumped-up “hate” designations in an effort to stifle speech in much the same way that Antifa uses violence and intimidation to silence its opponents. So evidence of interaction between the two organizations should not come as a surprise. But the interaction does reveal something about the veracity of the SPLC’s claim that they “followed” Antifa. Exactly what did they mean when Cohen said that the SPLC “followed” Antifa? This would not be the first time that the SPLC’s work ended up tied to leftist violence. In 2012 Floyd Lee Corkins attacked the headquarters of the Family Research Council (FRC) and wounded a security guard. Corkins said that he carried out the attack because the FRC had been listed as a hate group by the SPLC. As for Antifa, there can be no doubt that Antifa is a violent organization that targets people and organizations for their views. There is a great deal of evidence to demonstrate this: Antifa professor attacks Trump supporter Antifa commits assaults at prayer rally in Portland FBI investigating Antifa plot to buy guns from Mexican drug cartel for armed rebellion FBI investigating meetings between Antifa and ISIS Even CNN has acknowledged that Antifa uses violence: www.cnn.com/2017/08/18/us/unmasking-antifa-anti-fascists-hard-left/index.html www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUu46J_OHQ4 In December Antifa members attacked two U.S. Marines in Philadelphia: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpxxTzkb9k4 It can only be described as disturbing that the SPLC has demonstrated ties to an organization that has a pattern of committing acts of violence.
mynorthwest.com/1407354/antifa-arrested-uw-republicans-classroom/ JASON RANTZ Rantz: ‘Antifa’ member arrested for trying to imprison Republican students in classroom Share BY JASON RANTZ JUNE 5, 2019 AT 7:11 AM Photo courtesy Operation Cold Front. An alleged member of a local antifa group was arrested Tuesday evening for attempting — and very badly failing — to chain the doors, locking conservative students in a University of Washington classroom. The final meeting of the UW College Republicans (UWCR), held in Thompson Hall, featured two guest speakers from a local YouTube channel, Operation Cold Front. The meeting caught the attention of Emerald City Antifa. On their Facebook page, the group encouraged members to show up to disrupt the event. One person did show up, though it’s unclear if he’s directly connected with the Facebook page. But he didn’t try to simply disrupt the event; he tried to lock the students in the hall with a chain and lock. “I saw a guy in black approach the door but there had been no protest outside or anything so antifa wasn’t necessarily on my radar,” UWCR member Zach Wildfang told The Jason Rantz Show on KTTH. “He crouched down and immediately slapped his chain around the door.” The chaining didn’t work. It made lots of noise, as chains against doors tend to do, and it immediately alerted the students inside, one already standing guard. “We heard the rattling from inside,” UWCR president Chevy Swanson told Rantz. “We looked to see through the window and see that someone was messing with the door. And it’s very clearly a chain being attached. So personally I ran up to the door and opened it on him, the chain fell to the ground, and he ran off, which is good because I much prefer not to be chained in a room with 30 other people indefinitely.” The entire incident was caught on video by Operation Cold Front. The suspect, who covered his face in a black cloth until cops removed it, is seen on camera saying “Find the law that it is illegal to dangle a chain over a door!” Then, as seen on the edited video, he’s handcuffed and taken away. Swanson says he recognizes the suspect from other recent UWCR events, though this is the first time he’s been disruptive. UW Police haven’t publicly identified the suspect, but confirmed he’s an 18-year-old who attends a special high school class on campus. “One of the other attendees of the event caught up to him,” Swanson says, “and called the police and the police end up coming and arresting him.” UW Police confirmed the suspect was interviewed and released, and will be “charged through investigation” for misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Because the attempt failed so miserably, many of the student attendees thought it was funny, after they got over the shock of the failed imprisonment. The UWCRs have been behind a number of events campus progressives deemed offensive. Last month, they hosted an “affirmative action bake sale” to point out the unfairness of affirmative action. It was a contentious event that lead to a lot of shouting and one arrest (though the suspect wasn’t charged). Afterwards, UW President Ana Mari Cauce condemned the event — and declared war on free speech. Here, Cauce has not yet responded to requests for comment.
Ok, so I dug on this yesterday. The First Navy Jack has a sketchy history. It was first flown in 1975-6, in recognition of the US Bicentennial. Then in 1980, it was ordered to be flown above the longest serving ship in the US Navy, only. Then, BAM, ofter 9/11, the old Assistant to the SECNAV from 1975 (((Gerald Ford era))), calls up the US Navy and says, "Hey, use that other flag over all your ships because, muh, terrorism." And, the navy does??? WTF??? The early history that the First Navy Jack was ever even a legit flag is suspect. The supposed sybolism is that it represent the 13 original colonies. Makes no sense to tie it to the GWOT, unless it really represents: THE THIRTEEN FAMILES That is all. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Navy_Jack#/media/File:Naval_jack_of_the_United_States_(2002%E2%80%932019).svg Other U.S. Navy uses Since 11 September 2002, U.S. Navy installations and facilities ashore have been allowed but not required to fly the First Navy Jack from multi-halyard gaff-rigged flagpoles when the United States ensign is also flown. The First Navy Jack has also been authorized for wear as a patch by sailors and naval officers on flight suits and certain versions of the Navy Working Uniform (NWU), including sailors and naval officers wearing the Army Combat Uniform (ACU) while assigned to and serving with Army units, at the discretion of the local Army commander. For the NWU and ACU, the patch is typically worn on the opposite sleeve as the U.S. flag. During the War in Afghanistan, U.S. Navy sailors and officers assigned to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were authorized to wear the First Navy Jack on their MultiCam-patterned Army Combat Uniform (ACU) on the right sleeve, below the U.S. flag. Non-military uses Like other snake flags, the First Navy Jack has been used by non-Navy people in protest or commemoration. For example, opponents to a smoking ban in Franklin, Indiana, fly Navy Jacks outside their homes and businesses. A First Navy Jack flag was also placed at a makeshift memorial on Boylston Street after the Boston Marathon bombings.

Mexican officials to meet Pence in last-ditch talks to avert tariffs WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Mexican officials will seek to persuade the White House in talks hosted by U.S. Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday that their government has done enough to stem immigration and avoid looming tariffs. U.S. authorities at the southern border with Mexico have become overwhelmed in recent years by an increase in mostly Central American families and unaccompanied minors seeking asylum to escape violence back home. Frustrated by the lack of progress on a signature issue from his 2016 presidential campaign, Donald Trump unexpectedly announced last week that he would impose 5% tariffs on all imports from Mexico, rising to as much as 25% later in the year, unless Mexico took a harder line. Trump, who is in Britain to commemorate the anniversary of the D-Day landings on Wednesday, said in London on Tuesday that it was “likely” that the first wave of tariffs, set for next week, would go ahead. He has faced significant pushback from his own Republican party, however, with many lawmakers concerned about the effect that such tariffs would have on cross-border trade and U.S. businesses and consumers. They warned the White House not to count on the same level of backing it got earlier this year, when Trump declared a national emergency to divert funds to build barriers at the border. “We’re not real fond of tariffs, so don’t assume you can have the exact same level of support. That was my basic message,” Senator Ron Johnson told reporters after a meeting between lawmakers and White House officials on Tuesday. The tariff threat has also raised questions over the future of a three-way deal with Canada to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement, concluded after a year of negotiations. Pence is the Trump administration’s point person for getting Congress to approve the new deal, known as USMCA, which he has pledged will happen this year. Mexican Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard will attend the talks, set to take place in Washington on Wednesday afternoon. Ebrard has said the threatened tariffs would be devastating to Mexico’s economy and would not stop the waves of migrants from crossing the southern U.S. border. The Mexican delegation is expected to try to show the White House that authorities are taking steps to stem the flow of migrants, with Mexico detaining double the number per day than it was a year ago. But leftist Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has repeatedly said he wants to persuade Washington to help by tackling the causes of migration by investing in Central America to create jobs and speed up economic development. www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trade-mexico-pence/mexican-officials-to-meet-pence-in-last-ditch-talks-to-avert-tariffs-idUSKCN1T60D6?il=0

Trump says he thinks Mexico wants a deal, tariff threat stands SHANNON, Ireland (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday he thinks Mexico wants to make a deal in the neighbors’ immigration dispute, but that he will go ahead with tariffs on Mexican goods if it does not do more to control migration. “Mexico you know wants to make a deal. They have their entire delegation right now going over to probably the White House location to negotiate with our people,” Trump told reporters at the start of a two-day trip to Ireland. “Mexico can stop it, they have to stop it. Otherwise we just won’t be able to do business. It’s a very simple thing. And I think they will stop it. I think they want to make a deal, and they’ve sent their top people to try and do it. We’ll see what happens today. We should know something.” www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-ireland-mexico/trump-says-he-thinks-mexico-wants-a-deal-tariff-threat-stands-idUSKCN1T6243?il=0

Toyota estimates Trump's Mexico tariffs could cost over $1 bil. NEW YORK (Kyodo) – Toyota Motor Corp. estimates that U.S. President Donald Trump's proposed tariffs on Mexican-made goods could cost its major suppliers more than $1 billion, Reuters news agency reported Tuesday. The Japanese carmaker provided the estimate in an email to its U.S. dealers, in which it also said 65 percent of the Tacoma midsize pickup trucks it plans to sell in the U.S. market in 2019 will be imported from its plant in Baja, Mexico, according to Reuters. Trump has threatened Mexico with new levies beginning next Monday unless it stops migrants from crossing into the United States. In the email dated Monday, Toyota's North American sales chief Bob Carter was reported to have told dealers that the duties could cost its major suppliers between $215 million and $1.07 billion. mainichi.jp/english/articles/20190605/p2g/00m/0bu/052000c I guess you will just have to set up the supplier production facility's here now won't ya?….

Behar And McCain GONE From The View After Trump Assassination Comments *Anyone really care?* Last week while discussing the recent push by Democrats to impeach President Donald Trump, co-host of “The View” Meghan McCain and Joy Behar used very violent rhetoric to talk about the President. On Monday, co-hosts McCain and Behar were no where to be seen on “The View” which suggests that they may have been temporarily booted from the show for the comments that were made. Although this is just speculation, it seems very ironic that the pair just happen to be missing from the show directly after the comments were made. “I will say, if you take this kill shot, Democrats, ya better not miss,” McCain said during the show last week. Co-host Joy Behar chimed in to agree by saying, “Yeah.” ilovemyfreedom.org/behar-and-mccain-gone-from-the-view-after-trump-assassination-comments/?utm_source=realjack&utm_medium=twitter
FBI Releases 22 Pages From Its Bigfoot Files The FBI on Wednesday released 22 pages of documents related to Bigfoot, showing that in 1977, the bureau’s scientific division conducted an analysis on hairs alleged to have belonged to the mythical creature, only to find that they were from a deer. The documents consist mostly of letters from the 1970s between the FBI and Peter Byrne, the director of the Bigfoot Information Center and Exhibition. Byrne, who was located in Oregon, sought the FBI’s help in analyzing hairs he claimed to have obtained from an unidentified animal. Jay Cochran Jr., the assistant director of the FBI’s scientific and technical services division, approved analysis of the hairs. Cochran sent 15 hairs provided by Byrne to Howard Curtis, of the Academy of Applied Science in Boston. “It was concluded as a result of these examinations that the hairs are of deer family origin,” Cochran wrote in response to Byrne on Feb. 24, 1977. www.dailycaller.com/2019/06/05/fbi-releases-bigfoot-files/ FBI Files here: vault.fbi.gov/bigfoot/bigfoot-part-01-of-01/view

Democrats plan Capitol Hill event to put Trump's mental health under fire Democrats are planning to host a Capitol Hill event featuring psychiatrists who will warn that President Trump is unfit for office based on his mental health. The event will be led by Dr. Bandy Lee, a Yale School of Medicine psychiatrist and editor of The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump, a book that argues psychiatrists have a responsibility to warn the public when a president is dangerous. The position is controversial because psychiatric associations urge members never to diagnose patients they haven't personally evaluated, saying it undermines the scientific rigor of the profession. But Lee and others who agree with her stance say that their description of the president's behavior, of his showing mental instability and dangerousness, shouldn't be interpreted as issuing a diagnosis. www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/healthcare/democrats-plan-capitol-hill-event-to-put-trumps-mental-health-under-fire

Germany fighting back. AfD demands Hizbollah ban in Germany The largest German opposition party AfD (Alternative for Germany) is introducing a bill to ban radical Islamic terror organization Hizbollah in Germany this Thursday. Vice AfD faction speaker Beatrix von Storch presented the bill at a press conference today in the German Bundestag. The EU has classified Hizbollah as a terrorist organization. Hizbollah is also outlawed in the United States, UK, Canada, Netherlands, Japan and Israel. In Germany, however, Hizbollah maintains its main foreign bank account with the city-owned Municipal Bank of Bremen, approx. 950 Hizbollah activists collect donations for the terror group in Germany, as Jerusalem Post reporter Benjamin Weinthal found. “Hizbollah abuses German NGO law, finances terrorism by means of illegal drug and arms deals, and fights for the destruction of Jews and Israel, which you could witness last Saturday at the Al Quds march in Berlin and nationwide, where they even chant ‘Gas the Zionists’ on the streets of Germany,“ said AfD faction secretary Bernd Baumann at the press conference on June 4. “This must stop.” Many of the Arab clans which dominate the German underworld and intimidate Berlin police are Lebanese in origin. Vice AfD Bundestag speaker Beatrix von Storch, who drafted the bill, demanded “Hizbollah must be banned in Germany” and urged the Berlin government to explore all legal means of doing so: “Hizbollah is a terrorist organization. The Berlin government claims you must distinguish between a legitimate, political wing of Hizbollah and a terrorist wing. This does not make sense to us, or the voters.” German administrative high court had made clear that terrorist groups can be outlawed even if their funding does not flow directly into military or terrorist activities, Von Storch said, noting that Article 9 of the German constitution prohibits “organizations which oppose the peaceful coexistence of peoples.” There could be “no reasonable doubt” Hizbollah does so, said Von Storch. “Hizbollah’s goal is the destruction of Israel and the Jews, and we should not be offering a safe haven for them to hide in Germany and finance their armed struggle in Lebanon against Israel from our territory.” The chairman of the German Jewish Council Josef Schuster, who has often been very critical of the AfD and even accused the right-wing party of anti-Semitism, also demanded a Hizbollah ban on May 27, as did left-wing Berlin Interior Senator Andreas Geisel June 1. The bill will be debated in the Bundestag on Thursday at 2:30 pm, forcing the ruling parties to decide whether to vote with the AfD, or for Hizbollah. “I am very curious to see what excuses they come up with,” said Von Storch. On May 17, the AfD tabled a motion to outlaw anti-Israel BDS organizations in Germany, forcing the ruling parties to introduce their own, watered-down anti-BDS bill with no outright ban on BDS organizations. All German party foundations except the AfD support BDS organizations, NGO Monitor has reported. Even the most doubtful myopic negative Nancy can see the tide is finally beginning to change. At last. POTUS SAYS NO AND MEANS IT! U.S. denies GM tariff relief request for China-made Buick SUV WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Trump administration has denied a General Motors Co request for an exemption to a 25 percent U.S. tariff on its Chinese-made Buick Envision sport utility vehicle. The denial of the nearly year-old petition came in a May 29 letter from the U.S. Trade Representative’s office saying the request concerns “a product strategically important or related to ‘Made in China 2025’ or other Chinese industrial programs.” The midsize SUV, priced starting at about $35,000, has become a target for critics of Chinese-made goods, including leaders of the United Auto Workers union and members in key political swing states such as Michigan and Ohio. GM said on Tuesday it was aware of the denial and has been paying the tariff since July. GM has not raised the sticker price to account for the tariff. Fort Benning Army Base being considered to house illegal immigrant children: HHS Fort Benning in Georgia is being considered as a possible temporary emergency shelter for the influx of unaccompanied immigrant children who have crossed the U.S.-Mexico border this year, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) said on Tuesday. The Department has requested that a site assessment of unused Defense Department (DoD) property be conducted at Fort Benning Army Base, an HHS spokesperson said, in order to determine its potential use as a temporary emergency shelter. HHS’ Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is faced with a dramatic spike in the number of unaccompanied alien children (UAC), receiving referrals of nearly 41,000 UAC in fiscal year 2019 alone – an increase over fiscal year 2018 by about 57 percent, the HHS spokesperson said. “If this rate of referrals continues, ORR will care for the largest number of UAC in the program’s history in FY 2019. Based on the anticipated growth pattern in referrals of UAC […], ORR is preparing for the need for high bed capacity to continue,” the spokesperson noted. Fort Benning is home to approximately 120,000 active duty service members and their families, and sees reserve soldiers, retirees and civilian employees through its gates on a daily basis. Fort Benning has served has Home of the Infantry since 1909. It is home of the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence, the U.S. Army Armor School, U.S. Army Infantry School, the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation and elements of the 75th Ranger Regiment, among other units. “DoD officials will join the HHS staff as they tour the vacant property available for potential future use. HHS will make the determination if the site will be used for UAC operations,” the spokesperson said, adding, “This effort will have no impact on DoD’s ability to conduct its primary missions nor on military readiness. HHS use of vacant DoD facilities is on a fully-reimbursable basis under the provisions of the Economy Act. The DoD has been an exemplary partner in this humanitarian crisis and we look forward to their continued partnership as we develop efficient, cost-effective strategies to address these types of variations in border crossings by unaccompanied children.” It was reported in mid-May that An Air Force base in Montana and an Army base in Oklahoma were being considered to serve as a temporary shelter for unaccompanied illegal immigrant children, HHS had said. The Department of Defense was going to asses unused space at both Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls, Montana, and Army base Fort Sill in Oklahoma. HHS noted that “[c]hildren age 17 and under who are unaccompanied by parents or other legal guardians and who have no lawful immigration status in the United States and [are] apprehended by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) are transferred to the care and custody of ORR.” “ORR is legally required to provide for the care and custody of all UAC referred to ORR until they are released to appropriate sponsors, usually a parent or relative, while their immigration cases proceed,” HHS added. I guess that's the safest place for the children and for the public too… Agreed? americanmilitarynews.com/2019/06/fort-benning-army-base-being-considered-to-house-illegal-immigrant-children-hhs/
FBI database stokes worries over facial recognition tech Lawmakers are intensifying their calls for a temporary ban on the federal government’s use of facial recognition technology after the disclosure that the FBI has amassed a database of more than 640 million photographs. The revelation, made by a representative of the government’s top watchdog, the Government Accountability Office (GAO), during a House Oversight and Reform Committee hearing on Tuesday, stunned lawmakers. “640 million photos,” repeated Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), the ranking member of the panel. “There are only 330 million people in the country,” he added. According to the watchdog, the FBI’s database includes 36 million mugshot photos and 21 state driver’s license directories to aid them in identifying people — including mostly U.S. citizens. FBI officials on a unit called the Facial Analysis, Comparison and Evaluation Services are able to look through a database that includes driver’s license photos, visa applicant photos and information owned by the State and Defense departments to identify potential criminals. During criminal investigations, FBI agents can search the database with a photo of an unknown person to discover their identity. Kimberly Del Greco, a deputy assistant director at the FBI, emphasized that the bureau only uses facial recognition technology to help out with ongoing criminal investigations. But that failed to assuage lawmakers from both parties at the hearing, who accused federal agencies of failing to implement adequate privacy and accuracy guardrails before deploying the technology across the country. They warned repeatedly that the committee is planning to take concrete steps to address those concerns. Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) criticized the FBI for failing to implement changes recommended by the GAO three years ago to address privacy and accuracy concerns about the technology. After the hearing, Oversight members from both parties told The Hill they would support a full moratorium on facial recognition technology until stakeholders can address civil rights and liberties concerns. “Although the Committee has not called for a broad moratorium at this stage, I personally feel that we should consider it, and we will be continuing our robust bipartisan oversight of this issue to develop common-sense, concrete reforms that the whole Committee can support,” Cummings said in a statement to The Hill. “The Oversight Committee is conducting an overarching review of facial recognition technology across all government agencies and the private sector, and today’s hearing was our latest step in that process,” he added. Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), the chairman of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, told The Hill that he believes “we do have to have a pause on the implementation of facial recognition at a federal level … until we make sure that it’s not violating our Fourth Amendment rights and civil liberties.” The disclosure of the FBI database comes as the debate over facial recognition technology, which analyzes people’s faces for the purposes of identifying them, intensifies. A coalition of prominent privacy and civil rights groups have been calling for an all-out ban on its use by the government. They cite studies showing that the technology wrongly recognizes some populations at higher rates and privacy concerns over how the government is handling the reams of private data. Last month, San Francisco became the first city to ban its city government agencies from using facial recognition technology at all, and similar proposals are being weighed in other cities, including Somerville, Mass. Cummings cited local bans as a possible model for the federal governmment. “Our hearings have demonstrated that there is significant bipartisan concern about the use of this technology by our government against our people without adequate safeguards,” Cummings said. “In fact, some cities are already imposing their own moratoriums, and some states are withdrawing their participation in joint arrangements with federal law enforcement.” thehill.com/policy/technology/446991-fbi-database-stokes-worries-over-facial-recognition-tech
You will be watched/tracked - whether you like it or not. Utah will test hidden technology that tries to find weapons among crowds at schools, stadiums and churches Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes is partnering with Georgia-based Liberty Defense to test and promote a product that uses 3D imaging and artificial intelligence to detect concealed weapons on people in public spaces. The company’s product, HEXWAVE, can be hidden in walls and other structures as it scans for objects like guns, knives and explosives obscured by clothing or bags, according to a promotional video on the Liberty Defense website. The technology, as Liberty Defense has described it, appears to “strike the balance between privacy interests on one side and security and safety,” Reyes said. “Hexwave seems to be right in that sweet spot." According to Liberty Defense, the agreement with Reyes includes the attorney general facilitating introductions between the company and prospective clients and advising interested parties on the potential uses of HEXWAVE. Park City police have had discussions with the company about testing it at the Sundance Film Festival. Because the imaging technology identifies objects, rather than the people carrying them, Reyes said he believes it could be less invasive than, say, facial recognition technology or even driver license scanners. “If you can imagine an open place like Park City during Sundance to be able to have a little more of an awareness of what — not who and what their identity is and where they live and what their driver license is — but what they might have on them and where that is, … to make sure everybody is as safe as possible.” The company also suggests the technology could be installed at sporting and concert arenas, school campuses, churches, government buildings and amusement parks. Reyes said some companies in Utah have already expressed interest in being part of the HEXWAVE tests. “HEXWAVE can be applied in a variety of settings to provide a means to identify possible threats before they advance into attacks," Bill Riker, CEO of Liberty Defense, said in a statement. “We are excited that the attorney general of Utah recognizes the potential value of this technology and the opportunity it provides for enhanced security in the state.” Clark Aposhian, a gun-rights advocate and chairman of the Utah Shooting Sports Council, said he wonders about the practical applications for the technology in Utah. Private venues — like the Sundance Film Festival — are free to prohibit weapons, but state law permits concealed carry in public spaces like parks, school campuses and the Utah State Capitol. “People can walk in there with guns,” Aposhian said. “Permit holders do that all the time.” Aposhian said there’s the potential for lawful gun owners to be harassed by any new approach to security. But most places where weapons are prohibited are already equipped with metal detectors and other types of scanners, he said, and it might be difficult to effectively deploy the HEXWAVE devices in a state with so many authorized gun owners. www.sltrib.com/news/politics/2019/05/22/utah-will-test-hidden/
This ID Scanner Company is Collecting Sensitive Data on Millions of Bargoers PatronScan says it sells security. Privacy advocates worry it’s selling mass surveillance. We’ve all seen it, and some of us have lived it: A bar patron mouths off to a bouncer, tags a wall, gets in a fight, or is just too drunk and disorderly. They’re not just kicked out for the night, but “eighty-sixed” — permanently banned from the establishment. Now imagine if a bar owner could flag that ejected patron digitally, documenting their transgression for other bar owners to see and placing them on a nightlife equivalent of a no fly list that stretches across city, state, and even international borders. PatronScan allows bars to do just that. The PatronScan kiosk, placed at the entrance of a bar or nightlife establishment, can verify whether an ID is real or fake, and collect and track basic customer demographic data. For bars, accurate ID scanners are valuable tools that help weed out underage drinkers, protecting the establishments’ liquor licenses from fines and scrupulous state alcohol boards. But PatronScan’s main selling point is security. The system allows a business to maintain a record of bad customer behavior and flag those individuals, alerting every other bar that uses PatronScan. What constitutes “bad behavior” is at a bar manager’s discretion, and ranges from “sexual assault” to “violence” to “public drunkenness” and “other.” When a bargoer visits another PatronScan bar and swipes their ID, their previously flagged transgressions will pop up on the kiosk screen. Unless patrons successfully appeal their status to PatronScan or the bar directly, their status can follow them for anywhere from a couple weeks to a few months, to much, much longer. According to a PatronScan “Public Safety Report” from May 2018, the average length of bans handed out to customers in Sacramento, California was 19 years. (The company’s “Public Safety Report” is embedded in full below.) PatronScan claims to have a networked list of more than 40,000 banned customers. The same report indicates that PatronScan collected and retained information on over 10,000 patrons in Sacramento in a single day. Within a five month period, that added up to information on over 500,000 bargoers. PatronScan claims to have a networked list of more than 40,000 banned customers, many of whom may not even know about their eighty-sixed status until they try to gain entry into another bar covered by the system. To some onlookers, PatronScan’s product raises a number of concerns about privacy, surveillance, and discrimination. PatronScan’s reports reveal the company logged where customers live, the household demographics for that area, how far each customer travelled to a bar, and how many different bars they had visited. According to the company’s own policies, the company readily shares the information it collects on patrons, both banned and not, at the request of police. In addition to selling its kiosks to individual bars and nightlife establishments, PatronScan also advertises directly to cities, suggesting that they mandate the adoption of their service. PatronScan represents an extreme example of the growing adoption of data collection at bars and restaurants. Such establishments have long had informal systems for tracking problematic patrons. Today, many bars also have internal surveillance systems, which track customer trends and catalog granular data on purchasing habits. Those tools are growing increasingly sophisticated, with obvious benefits to venue owners and law enforcement. For bargoers, however, these systems create an uncomfortable new paradigm for partying, one in which data-sharing is a norm and technological tools can multiply the consequences of a single bad night. And once a bar adopts an ID scanning system, even innocent patrons may never know where their ID data will end up, or how it will be used. onezero.medium.com/id-at-the-door-meet-the-security-company-building-an-international-database-of-banned-bar-patrons-7c6d4b236fc3
Sanders Hands Over His Social Media Accounts to Walmart Workers Ahead of Attending Annual Meeting to Advocate for Employees Sen. Bernie Sanders turned over his social media accounts to Walmart workers on Tuesday—one day before the Democratic presidential candidate is set to attend the retail giant's annual meeting, at the invitation of some employees, to advocate for higher wages and introduce a shareholder's proposal that aims to ensure hourly workers are represented on the company's board. Sanders is a longtime supporter of expanding labor rights and critic of Walmart. During the last congressional session, Sanders (I-Vt.) and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) introduced the Stop WALMART Act, which would bar major American corporations that don't pay employees $15 an hour plus benefits from buying back their own stock. "What the workers want is a seat at the table," the senator said in an introductory video posted to Twitter Tuesday. "My message to the Walton family will be: We are tired of subsidizing you, pay your workers a living wage." I'm going to the @walmart shareholders' meeting tomorrow to end the greed of the wealthiest family in America. Walmart workers deserve a living wage and seats on the board. Today, I'm handing over my social media to Walmart workers to tell their stories and #EndWalmartGreed. pic.twitter.com/e8jAuAtUrH — Bernie Sanders (@berniesanders) June 4, 2019 Walmart workers shared their stories in additional videos posted to the presidential hopeful's Twitter profile and Facebook page. Adriana Bautista, who lives in Texas and has worked at Walmart for 14 years, said in Spanish, "I'm a mother for four beautiful girls and they are the ones who suffer when my employer gives me only 15 hours of work per week." "It's time for workers like me," Bautista continued, "to have a voice at Walmart's executive table." “I’m a mother of 4 beautiful girls and they are the ones who suffer when [Walmart] only gives me 15 hours of work per week.” Adriana has worked at Walmart for 14 years. Tomorrow I will join Walmart workers to demand workers like her have a seat on the board. #EndWalmartGreed pic.twitter.com/oye3Ilrruv — Bernie Sanders (@berniesanders) June 4, 2019 Cynthia Murray, a 19-year Walmart associate based in Maryland, highlighted the profits of the shareholders, most notably the Walton family, compared with "workers who can't even afford to buy food at the end of the day." "That's a shame," Murray said. "The Waltons' greed must end." Calling on politicians to "stand with the people that elected them," Murray added, "Join me and Bernie Sanders in demanding that the wealthiest family in America pay all their workers a living wage of $15 an hour." The shareholder's proposal that Sanders plans to introduce was filed by Cat Davis, a Walmart employee and leader of labor rights group United for Respect. Walmart's annual shareholders' meeting is scheduled to begin Wednesday in Bentonville, Arkansas at 10am local time. According to a press release, the meeting will be streamed on the company website here. www.commondreams.org/news/2019/06/04/sanders-hands-over-his-social-media-accounts-walmart-workers-ahead-attending-annual
